Default JR 10X Transmitter Battery

I have an Airplane version JR 10X and a Helicopter version JR 10X and both of them need new batteries. I am looking to upgrade the transmitter batteries to as high a mah battery that I can. Can someone here recommend somewhere to buy these batteries?
Thanks....

Buy the Expert 1500 pack, peel the shrinkwrap, and put it into the 10X battery cases . . . the last one I got was actually an 1800, and they fit the case fine, for about half the cost of a 10X battery. If you are not comfortable doing that, and want to sell the old cased, PLEASE let me know - I have been dying to get a couple of shells . . .

And if you don't go that way, please don't forget me . . . since Horizon in their infinite (or total lack thereof) won't sell just a battery case . . . .

How do you swap out the battery case?
I damaged mine and would like to swap it out - I need the battery cover too.

Don't ask - but toolboxes and transmitters dont mix

Yoiu cannot buy just the case. They will not sell it that way. If you need a case, you are going to have to purchase the whole battery and all. Here in the states Horizon is the distributor for JR. Not sure who it is down under. Hope that helps. [8D]

Thanks. I visited Model Flight this morning and they have the battery box and rear cover but not the internal casing that holds the battery box. I have to bring in the txer to for them to confirm the model version and then they have to order one from JR in Japan.

If you open up the case, you will find a standard 9.6v eight cell pack. I purchased a replacement pack from radical RC. All I had to do was unsolder the old battery leads from the circuit board and solder in the new leads. I've now used the replacement battery for over two years with no problem.
