RE: I want a bmx
For that price, I would say either Haro or Specialized, I really can't name off some models so you would have to shop a bit, I used to have a Specialized Fat Boy 415 and that bike was amazing, And my brother had a Haro Mira 540 air, VERY nice bike, both were around 500$

I wouldn't get a Haro if you paid me to. I'm looking at the Premium Duo at the moment. I rode one at the LBS and it feels great, confident riding.

RE: I want a bmx
IMO i would ride a FreeAgent.
i used to have a Haro and they are just too heavy, durable yes, but very heavy.
I ride a slightly custom Hellcat myself.
my grand total is somwhere around $500 ish. It has a custom wheel and a 25t sprocket, it also has cut handlebars. i cut my seatpost, and drilled holes in my pegs. my bike is nice and light

I can go into walmart and find haro bikes, posers at my skatepark sit on their haros and think they are cool with the 50 pounds peice of metal under them. Mind you these kids are like 8-12 years old. Anyways go for a DK bike.

It doesn't matter if they are at Wal-Mart or not. The quality is not up to par with other companies. I rode a Haro one day and a Premium the next, night and day difference. Premium is Haro's better half, just like HPI and HB.
