Default reciever and transmitter not connecting

I got a eagle 50 set it up turned on the transmitter plugged in the battery and and got good responce from everything except the rotor. I figured it must have been because i didn't charge the battery but after i charged the battery turned on the transmitter then plugged in the battery nothing happend. Now the light on the reciever just blinks. I have not touched any dip switches don't understand.

Default RE: reciever and transmitter not connecting

make sure the idle up switch is away from you (top left?), the throttle is at 0, and the throttle trim is all the way down. also make sure the rudder trim is centered. don't move anything after you plug in the battery until the gyro light goes solid.
