RC Ken and MinnFlyer have joined forces
How many times have you seen people here in the beginner's forum ask "Where can I find info on getting started?"
I am happy to announce that Ken and I have finally completed a project that we have had in the works for over two years.
We have just launched [link=http://www.gettingairborne.com/index.html]www.gettingairborne.com[/link] which is a site devoted to helping the beginner get started in Glow-Powered airplanes.
We hope you like it, and thank you for your support.

Site looks great. Found a broken link (videos at bottom of page) and a couple typos (didnt think to remember them, not that big a deal to me). It is something beginners are always looking for. Even though I am not a beginner I had to read through and found a few interesting things. Keep up the good work.

Very nice web site. You have taken the "buddy box" to the next level.
Only one question. Is that picture of Ken from 1985?

Actually, both of those pictures (Minn's and mine) were taken last May when we got together to shoot the video of the trainer build.

I would add the Sig Mid-Star to the intermediate trainers. I have read on these forums that they build quick, and are very stable in flight.

gboulton, you can make suggestions here if you like - unless you want to suggest we put GettingAirborne where the sun don't shine - in that case, PM them

(JK Sorry...couldn't resist, it being April 1 and all)
In all seriousness...
...we only recommended the ones that we PERSONALLY have experience with.
I'd wager ONE of you has built/flown/owned the venerable Telemaster.
