I've seen several sites that say redcat claims the Hurricane will do 80 mph I find it hard to believe considering it's the same engine as the monsoon and I know my monsoon doesn't do 80 mph lol. Can anyone tell me how fast a Hurricane is I'm trying to decide between the hurricane or an avalanche. I love my monsoon but I need one more nitro. I know red said to get the avalanche but if the hurricane is that fast well I want speed.

Realistically, they can top out around the 40 mph marker.

Get the hurricane if you want the speed, the avalance is more of a digger! Stock hurricane will do about 40 to 45

yeah I was going to say 40 to 50...diff wont do 80...hurricane should smoke the avalanche...buggies are usually faster then mt's and truggies

I'm pretty sure the whole 80 mph thing was really 80 km/h. These trucks are from china where they use metric. What I don't get is how irresponsible the vendors are for claiming that these 1/8 vehicles can go 80 mph. I mean give me a freakin break, they know good and well they don't go 80 mph but they continue to advertise it. Well I'm calling for an end to it. This is false advertising and it is illegal. I can see how a mistake could have been made a long time ago but now it's just unacceptable to claim these do 80mph.

Well I bought the Hurricane, and ya I thought it sounded funny at 80 mph. Now I just need the avalanche to complete my collection. Wife is gonna freak!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can I move in with anyone of you I'm a great cook lol
