Thanks!! I'll try and get some shots wed. with trucks on it..
Also, will a set of traxas t maxx wheels fit on these trucks?? I have a right rear that wobbles, and the hobby shop we traded at has a set of 4 with tires for $25 and look brand new.
Any wheel that has a 14mm hex will fit the MGT , and the TMAXX wheels are 14mm .

Clean truck BTW , you can tell it wasnt run hard cause the cooling head isnt all dinged up .

Thats what turned me on to it.. No scuffs on bottom anywhere. When we got home i put fuel in it stuck a glow stick on it and bingo fired right up and started slinging grass...lol..

Sweet, good thing you didn't get cheated. Sounds like you're in for a ton of fun!

And so am I!

I picked my 7 year old brother an Evader EXT up at Hobbytown on Saturday with a 3000mah battery! I love it! I have to get another for myself. lol

It's great since my truck is down (ferrariowner123 slammed into it. Grrrrrrr), and my parts come tomorrow, it's given me something to do! I can't wait to upgrade it, but I don't think I will much...

Sorry to take this off topic, but it's just soooooo fun!

Yeah Evaders little evader moves and while we waited for it to charge we fixed up our track, by getting rid of a jump, digging out a section of it and buliding a massively strong berm to keep us from hitting a tree. its offically perfect. Hopefully his parts come today and we can drive togethor and hopefully not run over his little brothers evader.

I know what you mean thats the only thing i have agains the crawler.

yeah we dont need something to stay indside cause we live in washington and hot to us is 95º and it rarely gets that hot

I am 90% sold on the MGT 4.6. Probably this weekend.

Nice!

Yeah, if you do buy it, there are some mods you need to make almost immediately. Well, at least within the first gallon.

If you can read the last page before this, ferrarioner123 lists out some necessary mods for this truck such as the FOC (the only one you really need).

It's too bad that can't come with the truck or something, but for $13, it's a cheap thing to do to increase performance and durability immensly.

Is changing it over a cut and dry deal?? Or is it a hard thing to change over to.?.

The FOC?

Well, you need to buy the kit because I has spacers, a new shaft, and some other stuff necessary to have the transmission bypass the reverse assembly.

It's a real easy mod to put in, might take 1hr if it's the first time taking the tranny apart. But you learn ALOT when doing so about how the tranny works and what the parts are called. Really helpful when troubleshooting.

I tightened up the pillow ball retainers on my truck after the last postwow, what a difference. I was assuming that after 5~6 gallons, they'd be worn out, but just taking out the slack made almost all the slop go away, now I just need to shim the steering bellcrank.

I'm surprised that everyone sees the FOC as a "must-do". I've never had any trouble with that particular part of my truck, not for lack of trying. Funny thing is, people pay to ADD reverse on most other nitro monsters...

I still have reverse in both of our trucks too (.21 and a .28) and have not had any tranny trouble. The FOC does reduce the rotational mass inside of the transmission which helps performance but I don't see it as a "Must Do" conversion either.

PJC, buy the truck, it's an amazing machine. Loctite the pins on the driveshafts, make sure everything else is snug and have a good time with it. IMO, if you're not planning on racing I'd leave reverse in, it's very handy when you're out bashing.

or maybe its just unlucky you needed a FOC. I have pounded on my truck for over a year without a single tranny problem. Still running all original with no FOC.

Snauty, I don't know what to tell ya. I've got over 20 gallons (it's on it's 4th engine) through my .21 truck. Every spring I clean and service the transmission and I've had a 2 speed shaft break once. That's the only tranny related failure either of my trucks have experienced. Maintenance is a wonderful thing.

Alright just blame it on old bad lucky snauty mods[]
I was a little convinced after the first day of running mine I already noticed it was spinning freely, it was after that when i needed the foc cause my tranny went poop.
