Default Pattern in Greece

My wife and I will be in Greece from the 15th to the 24th of this month on holidays.....without an airplane

I am curious if anyone on the forum knows if there will be any pattern, or flying events in general during this time and which city they would be in? I am going to try and convince her to hit a field (tall order!) if we happen to be near one that coincides with flying!

Hello Chad and Andy,

our F3A Nationals were held in Volos last April 19 & 20.
AFAIK no other F3A events are planned for the near future.
But you can sure visit flying sites near big Greek cities on weekends.

Hi Chad,

Currently we have no flying events but we could create one in order to wellcome you here. You are a world class pilot so the interaction with you I am sure will be much appreciated.

I live in Athens, I would be glad to meet you if you come around and of course to fly together. Of course you can fly my planes, so that you keep in shape during your holidays.

Please let me know or send me a PM with more details if you'd like.

Thanks,
Nikos

Yassou Stavros!

It's nice to hear from you, hows the weather in Thessaloniki?

It would be great to catch up with some greek pilots, especially F3a guys. With some luck and a fair wind I'll be moving out to Greece in the not so distant future, just visiting lots of places in the meantime before we decide where we are going to settle.

In the meantime, save some Mythos for me [)]

Kalo sas vradi!

Regards,

Andy.

I will email you the contact information of my friend John Konstantakatos. He is the president of Athens Aeromodelling Club. I am sure he can help you out there.

Nice to hear from you too, Andy.

As you know the weather here is always good for flying.
I hope you will find the best place for you to live in Greece.

Goodnight

Stavros
