Magnun 75 Prop-RPM figures
I have a new Magnum 75 (broken-in) That is not putting out the power I think it should. Flying a 60 size Mustang with 12-7 APC.
Does anyone have Prop-RPM readings so I can know what to expect from this engine.
Thanks so much guys.

RE: Magnun 75 Prop-RPM figures
Actually it is my friend's engine. I have not tached it. Just watched the plane fly. What I am trying to find out is baseline reading so I can compare. Also Magnum recommends a 12-6. Isn't this kinda small for a .75?
What props works good for you guys?
Thanks

12-6 APC will be fine and expect about 12-12500 rpm.
13-6 is about as big as you can go and will turn about 11500 rpm
This is based on my readings from my Tower 75 engine. I expect your ASP to be about the same power. If you have a baffle in the muffler you will release more power by removing it, but noise will increase some. We have one of those ASP 75`s on our field, but I have not had a chanse to tach it yet, pretty strong engine though.
