Default Kudos to Fast Lane Machine

Just got my FLM extended chassis this morning. It only took 2 days to get it. Everything is installed and man it looks bad *****.

Another thing that I found out is the rear drive shaft that they supply with the 1.6" extended chassis is the same length as the dog bones on all 4 corners. They warrant these dog bones for life. If you want bulletproof dogbones use the FLM rear drive shaft as axles on 4. They fit perfect and are thick as heck. I dont see breaking any of these and its a cheap mod. They were an extra $7.50 each. I only got 2 for the rear because those are the only ones I break. I will get pics up soon.

I will find teh link. I asked them the length of teh drive shaft and they were teh same length but they are about 3mm thicker. They said they would work so I bought 2 extras to try. These are some serious dog bones.

The only thing I did not like was how teh fuel tank fit. It fits real tight so I dont know if it will be a problem with breaking.

Have you ever had a tank break? It fits real tight and not sure if it will cause a problem.

I didn't, but then again I haven't really jumped mine with the FLM's. I put some packing material between the tank and TVP's just in case[&:]

Yes. The set that I got was teh extended lowered set with chassis braces and drive shaft were included. I dont see any reason for the other stuff so I did not get anything else. The only other thing I will get is the skit plate.

I also recommend www.smfstore.com for FLM stuff, their service was fantastic, not only that but they have lower prices than everyone else I checked with.

i love the FLM extended LCG chassis, one of my favorite upgrades to date.
skootmaxx, just a side note on the FLM engine plate,if you end upside down often from wheelies or jumps i would suggest the new era plate instead,i ended up on my lid from a wheelie and it wasted the engine plate and took the tvp braces with it.
any way heres a few shts of my FLM stretched SAVY

Just out of curiosity, if I purchased this extended chassis and thew on the stock savage XL tires, would that bring my current savage X to savage XL dimensions, or close to it?

You would still be 15mm short on wheelbase compared to an XL, and an inch narrower. You could easily make up the width difference with offset wheels...that's what I did.

Absolutely...they may be closing sometime soon Bruce is still the man! Fantastic service.

I have the LCG but non-extended set and love it. I should've gotten the extended set now that I think about it...
