spur gears anything better??

Default spur gears anything better??

last night I was running my volcano sv and for no reason it stripped the spur gear .Is there anything better than stock replacement also is there a two speed transmission that would work in it?

2 speed won't work it's too high geared it will slow down when it hits second gear, that's if it ever builds enough RPMs to hit second. You can replace he stock trans with a 5126 and 13 tooth clutch bell it's cheaper to buy the trans upgrade kit, but were out of them and I'm not sure if anyone else is selling them.

i own a tornado series car and i stripped my transmission spur gear i dont know how i did it it just happend then i bought a new one and installed it also stripped out please help me figure it out its sorta makin me mad and draning my wallet [&:][:@][&o][:-]

you need to do gear meshing properly, if too loose they will strip, if too tight they will bind and shear off. There needs to be a slight bit of play between the gears. once i upgraded my clutch bells to steel, they have been fine and if you purchased your rc's in the last year, its 99% steel and not aluminum. An easy way to check is see if a magnet stick to it, if so then your ok, if not, get a steel cltuch bell.
