from what i've seen in other posts asking about this, it makes the gst basically undrivable due to the truck flipping when you get any kind of speed going.

I had it on my truck and it was just way to hard to control. If the truck was much slower like a crawler it would be great but at these speeds its just to tippsy. Spend the money on a better steering servo and she will turn fine.

I have never used it but i heard if you use the 3rd channel for the steering it might be drivable if only used at low speeds. Or a computer radio that only turned the rear wheels a little bit when going at faster. and when not on the throttle a lot. Like the mixing function some have...

The 4 wheel steering kit is not worth it. All you need is a strong servo like the Hitec 5955TG. The last thing you want is for your GST to be doing 40+ miles per hour and you try to turn the GST with a 4 wheel sterring kit and the next thing you know your truck is doing cartwheels. The kit is better suited for very slow driving.

cartwheels=broken truck. Trust me, it looks really cool, but isn't worth it. Also check to see if your servo saver came loose. Helps a tiny little bit.

I have the rear steer on my GST and at slow speeds it will turn on a dime. Start pushing it and it gets squirly. Very little steering input = allot of steering on the truck at speed. I am going to try and adjust the radio to numb up the steering a bit and see if it helps keep a straight line at speed. The rear steer servo might just end up front with the other steering servo.

is this rear steer on a third channel or is it linked to the front steer, I would think a third channel would be ideal so you can use it at slow speeds and not at fast

The rear steer servo is spliced into the front servo. Both servos turn at the same rate.

I wonder how well it would work if you used the third channel though. Would the rear turn when not using the steering or would they stay straight?

The servo would hold it straight when not in use (not plugged in). The only issue having the rear steer on a different channel is how to control the servo. You would need an additional means by which to operate that servo.
