The plane isn't hard to build but it does require a lot of hand shaping.

I maiden mine today. With a small wind and partial throttle on my Saito82 she lifted off in less than ten feet. The approach speed seemed little more than a fast walking pace. A real floater.

Mine weighed in at 9 pounds, 2 ounces so the wing loading is quite small. I'm going to add about 1 to 1.5 pounds to the fuselage before my next flight.

Have fun with your new toy.

Regards

They're just a big Guillows kit Brett.

Did you ever finish it?

I have flown the ST with no dihedral. Performs a bit better but still just a big lazy ol' bird. Be sure to add about 15% more rudder surface for effective rolls and landing control.

Did anyone build the senior telemaster with bolt on wing instead of the rubber bands ?

Bolt on wings are easy on the Telemaster. Go about it as you would any other high wing. Add a piece of plywood in the front of the fuselage to hold a couple of 1/4" dowels placed into the leading edge. Add drilled and taped blocks to the fuselage sides and re-enforse the trailing edge where the nylon bolts will go through. Simple and effective.
Oh, and dihyderal, it doesn't need any. Flys just fine.
