Default Vulcan SE Issues

I got a Vulcan SE from my friend for free and I tried starting it up but as soon as it started and I tried giving it a little gas it would only go around 5 mph I'm not sure if it's broken in but shouldn't it go faster than 5 mph at full throttle?
If anyone can help with this or tell me the factory settings I'd be really thankful.

Good luck man. I bet a 1/4 stick of tnt would fix it.

Seriously though. Shy of sinking all of your time and effort into a polished turd you might look into a different motor for it. If it is the stock motor it is a leaking mess that is more trouble than it;s worth. When it does run it really has no power. I had one and 2 friends had the same thing. Between the 3 of us we invented about 50 curse words. If it had been run hard already it was lucky. I don't know of too many people that had any luck with that motor. I hate to sound negative but I am being brutaly honest. If you have nothing else to do then by all means sink some time and money into it. Cheapest way around it is to buy a different motor.

Thanks for the reply man I've been waiting a while for a decent one.
Instead of sinking money into to it for a better engine I think I'll just use that money on my trucks that will actually work for more than 10 seconds per month.
