Default how to stop wheelies?

so i had my revo on the track this weekend. it ran like no other. but the problem i have is on the strait away i wants to pull the wheels after it hits 2nd gear. the track is kinda tight but it has a long wide turn and one lone strait. my revo has a picco 26 max. it isnt geared low, but i do have the cr gear set on it. the slipper is set right that it does fine on the rest of the track but on the strait it just wants to lift off. i have a center diff as well. it is out of a tunder tiger buggy though. but i will be swaping it out for a traxxas one here soon. i dont know what diff grease lube is in it at the moment but i am going to switch it to 500000. i am just looking for ways to help keep the front end on the ground. so any ideas would be help full.

The traxxas center diff should tame your wheelies. Most are having problems just getting the rear to hook up enough with the traxxas center diff.

Gear it a little higher. Thats a pretty big track, you wont need that much low end. Once you put 500K in the center it should stop all the wheelies tho.

i have the same thing happen with my other revos as well. i think that switching the diffs out is going to help. i didnt know it even had that thunder tiger diff in it untill i took it apart. it has heavy lube in it but i dont know how strong. how can i get it to transfer more power to the front. i have 500000 in the centers what would you say i should run in the front and the rear?

I run 50k in the front, 30k in the rear and 300k in the center. I like the 300K but power is unloaded a little more than with 500K.

if i losen my slipper any more than it is now i wont be able to get hit the second double on my track. i ran it loose and it just wouldnt put the power to the ground i am going to swap the diffs and see if that helps. i am thinking about maybe trying the wide ratio gear set. would that help any?

I had a Skyline that had a lot of aftermarket parts and was way fast. I passed that POS on to somebody else. There was always something wrong with it. I had a R-33 GTS-T. I have my eve out for another AE-86 Trueno(Corolla).

The RC hobby is cheaper in Japan. Also there are three rc tracks in the local area two on-raod and a nice off-road.

See I totally forgot!! The wide gear ratio is stock in the 3.3 revo. The problem with it is the number of teeth on first gear and secound gear has such a big difference that once the truck hits secound, it basically jumps into gear giving making almost uncontrollable for a split secound. Wich is why it wheelies in secound gear. What you need to do is buy close gear ratio set. That will eliminate your wheelies in secound and also give you smoother shifting around the track. 300K in the center will create a lot of unwanted tire ballong in the front because it basically unloads the power to the front tires.

so, 300k sends power fwd, and 500k sends less power fwd. does that mean the stock fluid allows way too much power to go fwd?

you can always throw your 2.5 back in.........that will stop the willies for sure.............or if the occational willie with 2.5 is still to much for you, then you can mod a revo to take a pro .15........you'll have a losing racer in no time!!!!!!!![sm=lol.gif]

decrease weight of your center diff oil and only after you have that acceptable switch to taller gears if it still wheelies. Honestly though u do have a picco [X(] so driver skill/control may come in handy here [:-]

Install a brick/cinder block on your truck. Zip tie it to the front tower and the wheelies should subside without a problem.[8D]
