Sportwerks 26v2, mach 427 or xtm 247. The Axial engines are turds compaired to these engines. For the same price as the RR yuo can get the LRp spec3. The LRP will crush the RR. Nothing will touch the LRP engine for the money. But for under 140 the Sportwerks is very hard to beat.

Correction, an STS .30 will spank an LRP .28 "for the money" . Though I would not recommend buying one, mine is starting to show it's bugs... Axial is the LAST thing you want on your list, unless you are on a budget. Go Picco .28/LRP .28.

I did not even consider sts because they no longer exist. I have no experience with sts other than what I read. I have read they are pretty sick on power but poor quality. I think they are more than the LRp and maybe even the Picco? Never mind. I see them on ebay for about 130.

The STS .30 is less than the LRP .28. For about $130 I would have to agree with twomanytoys and say the Sportwerks .26. For a stock motor I would say it's a good engine.

Go Tech 28 has a ton of torque and plenty of top end. Too much power to try to handle in my opinion. You can find one new for about $160 to $180

The Mach 427, Mach 26 (not SS), and the Sportwerks 26 are good engines (all the same engine) but they are all .26's, NOT .27s or .28s. Although for the money, you can't beat these engines.
