ok i need some more help here, when sitting in nuetral without applying the brake my wheels spin like crazy shouldnt they be "in nuetral"
any help would be greatly appreciated.
also if anyone is from or around woodhaven michigan lets hook up,im riding by my self right now.

Check that your trim is not set too high on your Radio also turn down the idle

if your idle is low and your car wont stay running, put it on some blocks, when you start it and it runs with the wheels spinning, and then you put it on the ground and the wheels stop and the engine cuts (this is with low good idle) then the clutch spring probably broke

do clucth springs usually break when brand new? and i will have to wait until wed or so,to test it out.i busted a lower control arm

sometimes they do, but if you get the traxxas higher stall spring it gets better take off, i would recommend it even if its not broken

cool i will have to get one then,and are they easy to install.i mean ive done a decent amount of work on real cars so this should be a breeze right...well maybe not a breeze but it cant be that hard

ps i searched for traxxas higher stall spring on ebay and cant find it,is it called something else maybe.

4146X is the Traxxas part number. It's probably on the first page of this thread, too.

you need to use the stock clutch shoes, or find some other ones that fit, i have seen some around somewhere. but the ones that come with the spring wont fit

hey guys. i had my truck running two days ago and it was fine. I put in a new spur gear and now when i start it it will run for 1 second and then the pull start will pull back into itself. Anyone know whats goin on?

ok get this earlier im driving my s30 no problems decide to give her one more run b4 night falls and all of a sudden on start up it justrevs up super high wheels just a spinng,i get it under control and try adjusting the high needle and nothing , gave the low a slight turn each way and nothing its just going berzerk. can some one please help me out with this. its really starting to get to me .oh yea and im on my 4th glow plug is that normal.

im pretty much done with this it now just revs up and up controls dont respond cant get much help with this so im calling it quits it hasnt even had 2 full quarts ran thru it.i just have no idea what to do.with out ever touching the screws it goes haywire and the will not respond so maybe someone with experience will want this bad boy. i have only had it one week now.

ok dont mind me with the ranting i know this hobby calls for patience and im working on that,i finally get her going and the damn pull start comes apart.im starting to think the guy at the hobby shop was about having nothing but problems with these darn things.this is craziness.

I agree
it's not always that something is broke either, sometimes it just needed to be tweeked, like bent drive shafts, just use a hammer and straighten them out. The reason stuff breaks is driver mistakes, and incorrect maintenance, the more experienced you get the less stuff you break.

ok seeing i have so much down time at the moment i decided to paint my truck black put some detroit red wings stickers on it,upgraded my air filter to a savage xl and a savage xl 160 cc fuel tank,and put a t-bone racing bumper on it.thats about all for now. im waiting for a new receiver switch and pull start and i should be good to go.i think i got this patience thing down pat. WOOT WOOT!

oh yea and once the funds are sufficient im going to get the trans upgrade from allaboutfunhobbies
