Default Morris 2008

I know it's a ways off but just 2 more big Holidays + a week is Morris for 2008. Plenty of time to have several new Autogyro's ready to fly.

See you there.

Hi Jim...

I am planning to make it this year! However, unlike you, I need a motel. Any suggestions
as to who to contact for recommendations?

Hello Bernie, Jim and Bill,

It's still a long time till September and who knows what the price of fuel will be by then? I've got enough fuel for my gyros but I'm not sure what the price of fuel for the car might be by then. We need to drive 1600 miles each direction. If the price of gas goes beyond $5 per gallon I'm not sure if we can afford the trip?
I was planning on staying in the Holiday Inn Express, but haven't made the reservation yet. The Fly-in in Morris would be perhaps the most fun a Gyronut could have and I plan to be there if we can find a way to make the trip.
Hope to see all of you in September,

Your Buddy,

Joel

Joel,
I look at the fuel prices everyday and there don't seem to an end to it going up. WE need to sell our wheat for $135 a bushel to those that live it the sand.

I only will only have to drive a little over 1200 miles to get there Joel and then the girls will want to go shopping somewhere far away. I will be pulling a trailer and getting 10 mpg. It's going to be a ruff call when the time comes.. I plan on leaving Florida late August and heading that way..
If I didnt take so many airplanes with me a could take the small car and that would help, but that would not be fun.
Hope to see you all there.

Hello Gyronuts,

We will be there on the third of September, Bernie, if you need help to mow the grass on the field call me at the Morris Inn ( the old Holiday Inn), or call me here in Montana before Labor Day. We leave for Morris on the first. Hope we have a lot of gyro fliers in spite of the fuel prices!

HI Gyronuts,

I will be leaving from Florida on Aug. 21 and should arrive in Muncie ,IN. on the 22nd of Aug. I plan to head to Morris on Sept. 3rd.
Hope to see lots of new faces as we did last year and all of the old faces. All with lots of new Autogyro's.

As you can see we will have pilots from many miles away.. Don't want any excuses from people 200 miles or closer. Just make it.

Hey all,

Sorry for missing out on this thread... it's been too long since I checked out the "Universe."

Anyway, the Morris Fun Fly is almost here. If you haven't done so yet, please call the nearby hotels to arrange your accommodations. All the info is in the [link=http://www.aerobalsa.com/final_2008_flyer.pdf]13th Gyronuts Fun Fly flyer[/link].

See ya there!!!

Until then, may you have many happy plop landings...

HelloBean gyro,

Do you have any info about the single rotor gyro shown on your 2008 Morris gyro flyer?
It is electric powered.
Sorry but I cannot be there.

Hi Charlie...
I left a PT gyro with Jim, Bernie and Joel when I was in Morris this past Thursday. It already has a Thunder Tiger Installed, servos, even a channel 16 receiver.
Don't know if it was picked up by someone or not.

Bill & Charlie,
I picked up the PT with the Thunder Tiger .074 and will be taking it to Florida with me and if Charlie wants it he can have it. It is really a Gyro Stick. Same size as a PT Gyro. I will call you Charlie later this month and we can make some arrainments to pickup.

Wahid showed up with a couple of his Small Gyro's.. Somewhat windy for him though..

Gary Ten Pass did manage to get his PT 25 on STEROIDS off the ground a few times. Joel did fly it and made a turn or two with it..Not ready for prime time yet..Gary won a PT Profile so now he has a PT 25 also.. But they are made of WOOD not Alum.
