what do you mean by 'put in your trans'... i have always heard that your stock trans will hold up to the power of the Picco Red Dot...

I have been running that same motor. And have had no problems out of the tranny. I did go to steel drive shafts. I was wrecking to stock shafts. You are goin to LOVE the power.

you dont HAVE to change the gearing, that is just an option...
you dont HAVE to change the driveshafts, BUT it would be recommended!!

my FIRST choice for fuel would be:
1. Byrons Gen 2
2. Trinity Monster Horse Power
3. Odonnells
4. Wildcat Eliminator (something I found at the LHS, its actually pretty darn good!!

Stay as FAR away as possible from Traxxas Top Fuel!!!!!!

It's just not a good fuel. I'm not saying to stop using it, but if you have a choice of any of the other fuels that I listed, I would switch.

Agreed. The extra bucks spent don't feel to bad when you see the increased power and cooler running temps. I'm currently running Odonnells 25% and its night and day difference over Top Fuel.

Try Byron Gen its the best fuel on the market, more power cooler temps, its an excellent blend!!
I currently run a t-maxx with OS 18 TM, i think i may need to mod my trans because i've broken a few
of the pins that lock the gears to the shaft inside the trans.

+1... I WISH I could some Byrons, BUT unfortunately my LHS does NOT carry it!! [:@] I may have to search around the state, or neighboring state where I can get some, it would be worth the drive for me!! Another reason it would be worth the drive, is because my LHS tries to PUSH that Traxxas Top Fuel on EVERYBODY!! I would rather go without the nitro, or drive farther/out of state to get a different kind!!! [8D]
