Need some "Translation" .... Please!
I tried putting these words through Babelfish but it came out not making much sense. (What's a " front lifting tree camp" ?? ) These were in an English-Language Publication WHY did the Editors leave all the labels in German [&o] ? If anyone can help .... could you please post the as many of the closest English equivalents as possible? I've tried to "tag" the various components to make ID'ing them a bit easier....

Killick,
Babbelfish speaks worse German than I do, and thats pretty bad. But,,,
Try breaking things up, like:
Doppelrad - Dopple is double or twin, Rad is a wheel, so a Doppelrad ist einen Double Wheel.
Ausererrad - Aus is out, ausere is outter, rad is still wheel, so Ausererad is an Outter Wheel (of the double Wheel pair).
Get the idea?
Maybe Pattoncommander or Uhu (or countless others) could be of more help, but this will get you started.
Good luck
Splat

RE: Need some "Translation" .... Please!
Great Advice! Using the "break-it-down" technique I've managed to "noodle out" a few more terms....
"Bremsersitzlager" is the Brakeman's Seat (literally, "Brakeman's Sitting Position")
"Zugstang" is a Towbar ie, Linkage
"Luftleitung" is an Air Line (shoudda guessed that Luft = Air)
"Druckluft-verbindungschlauch" works out to be Compressed Air Connector Hose
"Absperrhahn" is a Shut Off Valve
"Ramen" is Frame(work) ....
"vorderes Hebebaumlager" is Front Jack ("Lifting Tree" ? ) Position
"Verriegelung" is a Bolting Mechanism
Thanks a Gazillion, Splat !!! Who would of thought R/C Tanking could be so "Educational"???
(BTW, the images are of the Sd.Ah. 202 Bi-Directional Limber ("Trailer" ) for the 88mm FLAK 36. )

RE: Need some "Translation" .... Please!
Hi Killick64
Excuse me but I've missed your post, here is an approximate transtlation of the Acht-Acht trailer parts labelled in the pics. I've had some problems with the dual translation, hope it helps:
Zugstange: Pull rod linkage
Druckluft-verbindingschlaucht: Compressed air connecting hose
Handhabungstau: ? don't know habung, if it was handhebungstau it would possibly mean "manual elevation lever"
Zwischenzugstange: In-between linkage
Bremsersitz: Brakeman's seat
Doppelrad: Twin wheel
Außerer Radstern: Outer wheel spider
Verbindungsleitung des Abstandrücklichtes: Connecting cable for the tail light (Formation-Convoy light)
Zugstange
Druckluft-verbindingschlaucht
Verriegelung: Locking device
Bremsersitzlager: Brakeman's seat bearing
Vorderes/Hinteres Hebebaumlager: Front/rear elevation lever bearing
Luftleitung: Air hose
Hilfsluftbehälter: Air auxiliary reservoir
Hintere Kotflügelstütze: Rear mudguard support
Lager für Rohrwischer: Scovel bearing
Steckbolzen: Locking pin
Kupplungsmaul:
Anhängevorrichtung: Automatic tow coupling
Aufhängeöse: Attachment eye
Tragarm: Beam
Ringriff: Eyebolt
Kupplungskopf: Brake line coupling
Lagerbock:Bearing block
Zubehörkasten: Accesories box
Nachstellvorrichtung: Adjustment rig/device
Rahmen: Frame
Zughebel: Traction shaft
Hebewelle: Feed lifting shaft
