Beautiful tank! It's always nice to see another modern tank in 1/16th scale.

I am currently waiting for some suspension arms that I just bought from a tanker here in Sweden. When they arrive I will integrate them in my CAD-design and hopefully be able to make some parts for real. It was a long time since i actually made a some parts for this project so I would really want to make something soon not just making blueprints.

ORIGINAL: ArmChairGeneral

I think the 'jerry cans' are active armor ? It would be fun to have a nice variety of nato/warsaw pact 1/16 armor to do modern IR battles.

You may be correct, but everything I've read suggests that they are fuel containers. Shoudn't be too bad with high flashpoint fuels (I think S-tank uses combination of diesel and gas turbine, so fuel is probably kerosene/diesel type)).
Geoff

The power pack in the S-103A and S-103B versions was a Rolls-Royce K60 disel which was used for normal operations, and a Boing gas-turbine which was brought into provide additional power for combat or even crossing difficult terrain. In the Strv-103C, however the Rolls-Royce engine was replaced by a more powerfull Detroit Disel 6V-53T 6-cylinder, although the gas-turbine has been retained uncharged.

Been a long time since i posted here, but I have much to do and so little time for my tanks. Anyway do anyone know the diameter and other data of a leopard 2 drive sprocket in 1:16 scale? I will probably use one on the S-tank since it will not be so vissible anyway.

You can always use a voltage regulator to get the voltage down so you can use the DMD.

Guess it uses 7.2V, could use either a 6V regulator or 9V and a resistor.

if you flip it over you will see on the bottom side six holes with screws in them unscrew the screws and the top will come off .

thanks
