Noob. Brushless System to get
So I am building my parking lot racer...all I am going to use it for is my own fun.
I got my chassis....an associated tc5 factory team.
I need to now get the brushless system. I dont know where to begin, as there are so many choises and all the ling is confusing. maybe there is a guide to brushless somewhere . .
One poster said to get the Novak GTB velocity but there are many models, another the LRP Sphere, again many models.
I would like around 4 solid suggestions.
How does the 3.5, 4.5 5.5 10.5 turn etc etc equate to the type of system and relate to the battery I would need, and how fast the car will be.
Many Thanks

The lower the turns generally the faster it will be. But for a parking lot basher you don't need a $250 plus system. either the traxxas VXL, losi xcelorin or mamba max 5700 will work well.
If you're going to race then the GTB or Sphere make sense.

Great choice, I have 3 of them and they are great.
I don't know what some people are thinking when they give advise, it's like if you wanted to buy a car for every day driving and someone said get a Ferarri.... stupid.

OK now I am 370 into my 750 budget....after my new TC4 factory team chassis and the mamba max 5700 brushless.
I assume the battery is the next most important.
S far I have seen just one suggestion for the battery.....team orion 3800 lipo.
Any opinions on that.
And as far as a transmitter , time and time again i see the Futaba 3PK 2.4GH Fasst as the choice with the 603 receiver,,, seems way overkill at 350-400 r just to drive around the local lot
any mid range but good quality suggestions?

You can go spektrum but from what i'm hearing about the DX2 and DX3 I'd say you should stick to the DX3.0 or DX3R. I've had both and never had a problem with either of the last two.
Otherwise you can get the Futaba 3PM system, no need for a racing system if you're not going to race.

Castle creations are good, but what about the Novak sport systems? They are a great buy for the money and are sensored. Battery, go with diggity designs 5300 lipo at 25c. Radio, Futaba 3PM. I love the Futaba radio. It's not a race system, but it's never given me a bit of problem.

Crap, I hope you didn't buy the Mamba already. It's a good system, but it's not a racing brushless system. Many people here recommend the Mamba for racing, but it is not good for racing. Let me tell you why. In the USA most classes in brushless are based on the turns of the motor. 17.5 turn is usually stock. 13.5 Turn is super stock. 21.5 Turn for Trans Am ...etc. The Sensored motors are the only ones offered in these "turns". Now the Mamba system is sensorless and is guaged on a kv rating. 5700kv, 6900kv, 4600kv, ...etc. You can not run the sensorless motors in these races because they are not equal motors.
So in the USA you need a Sensored Brushless System in order to race. Here are my suggestions.
1 - Speed Passion Gran Turismo (GT)
2 - LRP Sphere Comp TC
3 - Novak GTB
4 - Losi Excelorin S
Buget Suggestions
1 - Losi Excelorin
2 - Novak XBR Sport ESC
3 - Speed Passion Endless Seris Feigao sensored ESC
4 - LRP A.i. Brushless Pro Reverse
5 - Traxxas VXL-3
Super Budget (Stock Class Only)
* - Hobby Wing EZ Run 35A
* - Yeah Racing Ultimate Brainpower ESC 35A
