Hi Guys,
a SimJet 3000 turbine (30 lb thrust) it's enough for this model?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
There is a similar 1/5th scale flying in Europe and if I am not mistaken it had twin Titan's. On those dimensions it should take some serious power to get it moving.

Are you sure they are Twins = 2? The F-16 is designed for a single turbine. Hmmmm
Yeap I'm sure. It had a very particular split bypass. Very unique setup for a very large F-16. The parr that I don't know is if it ever flew like that.

Pablo flew the Fei Bao F16 at Florida International Jet Rally , the plane flew great and steady, slats worked perfect, landings where easy, we had winds at 20Mph and she did not change the behavior still stead, the power plant was a single AMT Olympus but she can fly with a rhino.
I'm preparing the video right now, we did 10 flights this weekend and Pablo with the Fei Bao F16 got the critics choice award.
The price for 1/6 scale F16 is RTF with factory installation (gear door, landing gear, fuel tanks, fuel lines installed) $ 4300.00 but the 10 first customers will have a discount, list is almost full.

Nice Wagner. Could you post close up pictures of the F-16 with slats opened, pictures of the belly with gear doors opened and closed? That would be greatly appreciated! Nice flight.

There are two very large types of F-16 flying in Europe, both performed at the JetPower fair in Germany in September. The 1:5 model
was originally powered by one dialed-back AMT Olympus with only 11 KG thrust, and flew great. The huge UR Modellbau 1:4
model flies with a prototype 90lb Sturzkopf turbine - still only one turbine powering it. The only single turbine planes I have seen here are
an F-86 with a split tailpipe, and a ME 163 with 2 Frank turbines with the same kind of split pipe.

Hi Tor,
excuse me but the AMD Olympus it doesn't have 230N and that is around 23 Kgs. of thrust?
At least so is written on the Web site of [link=http://www.amtjets.com/specs.html]AMD Netherlands[/link]...
Best Regards

These are some amazing shots! I like the operational leading edge slats. Can you illustrate how they operate?

I can see them. I wanted to find out whether they operate like the full scale ones. I saw a video on youtube of an f-16 and the slats seem to activate when the jet pitches up, in other words automatically.

Fiifi,

Pablo has mixed the slats with flaps also the slats can be operated alone without mixing, and he did mixed flaperon with taileron.
