Mike, I have added Silver Trim on my Razer Yak to make it match my new 85cc Aero-Works Yak. I just can not leave well enough alone. jerrysu29 Call Sign Wild Man

Jerry, that definately sets it off. All you need now are some graphics here and there. Post some finished pics when you get a chance.

Hey I hope at least one side of your elevators are not glued in yet or you might have a hard time installing your stab! Just kidding...I know you know better than that!

Hey Mike, We have all made mistakes like that, LOL, and that's all I have to say about that. LOL. Well maybe not, if you look at the last picture in post# 42 you will see one slight OOOOPPS look at the rear tab mount.
I try to test fit parts before any glueing. I test fit both elevator halfs with jioner in not glued to see if this assembly can then be inserted into the slot it does not. So I installed the horz. stab squared it up and glued it in, then installed elevator halfs jioner rod and hinges pics show elvator halfs and jioner ready to be glued and squared with horz.stab
The Picture of dremel bits is a biulding tip, I use these to bevel the holes for the hinges after drilling to accomodate for the wider part of the hinge where it is pinned. This works very well and leaves a very tight hinge gap. When done it looks scale also. The smaller bit for the 1/8" hinge used in the horz. stab and the larger bit used for 3/16" hinges used in the wing. Pics in post# 52 shows how the beveled holes look after assembly.

That's funny right there. I would like to build a hybrid of the RazorYak for a 50cc motor. However with the hybrid you just as well put a little more work in it and build a fatty.

Mike at OMP asked me if making a hatch up front was feasable for a battery. I took a look at my cads and under the motor there is a verticle piece of balsa so it's a no go there. However above the engine there is plenty of room. But the thickness of my battery is the same thickness as the fuse. So it would be pretty hard to put a bat. in the fuse without it sticking out. I just banded it under the fuel tank and my CG is 8.75" back with an empty tank. With a full tank and the spinner installed the CG should be around 8-8.5"

IowaSilvia, I like the graphics you had made for your RAZER YAK. Who made them for you? I'm going to stick Aero-Works graphics all over mine, since I have many of them I haven't used yet. jerrysu29 Call Sign Wild Man

Hey Guys, I just finished up Trimming Mine to match my new Aero-Works 85cc Yak. Finally Ready to install all servos servo arms Pro link titanium linkage Duralite 2150 mah lithium battery and durlite 6V reg and switches. This is the same setup I used on my 65" OMP Yak 55-SP except I can't get the 5985 mg digitals. Hitec has replaced them with the new 7985 mg digitals

Ever think about putting the ball link under the servo arm?

I most definitely have, when in 3D rate the ball link, or if I use to long of a 4/40 bolt, the bolt and or ball link in the servo arm hits the case before reaching the end point in that direction

Here is the part of the assembly I take my time doing to insure a straight and true Airframe. With fuse standing straight and true, and after removal of covering from center of stab, with 10 1/2" on both sides, 2 1/2" under each end of stab, and a measurement of
39 5/8" from center of fuselage (front) to left and right front side of stab and square with fuselage then I glue it in place

After checking, I had to enlarge the hole for the elevator joiner so that when glued in place, and glue is drying it can held perfectly straight and true
