... or before you cut the holes move the shocks in and the body posts out, makes them higher and eliminates the rubbing.

After I typed that I figured it would probably be better to just pick up some front (shorter) springs for the OFNA Big Bores and use those.
The stock shocks (non big bores), the springs are too long or too stiff, something, and make the front end sit too high. The big bores springs are fine.
it's the same on the zx-1r as well.
found out what the deal with this is. the buggy/truggy sits slightly higher in the front so when you are going of jumps the front doesn't hit the face of the jump...

Possibly, but considering these are engineered in Taiwan, where they don't predominately run supercross style tracks like we do in the states, (watch some video's on YouTube, they are actually pretty flat) I think that's unlikely.

Well me and another team driver raced at a local track this weekend and finished 1st and 3rd in Truggy A-main. I was 3rd but was leading for awhile. My friend steve won both Buggy with the ZX1-R and Truggy with the K8T. Great day of racing.

Will be doing some mods to my front upper arms to decrease Caster (front knuckles more straight up) to see if it makes the steering more aggressive. Steve had his done and seems to be working really well. Here is a pic of what I am going to try. It is cutting back the front of the upper arm to move the arm and knuckle forward.

Well the purpose of it is to make the steering more aggressive coming into sharp 180 degree turns. If you have seen a K8T up close you will notice the front knuckles are laid back farther then most any other truggy out there that has a pillow ball setup. Makes the truggy very stable in high speed straights and the truggy does steer very well and sharp but this seems to make the truck pivot almost 180 without having to tap the brake or swing the rear end around and will prevent the possibility of spinning out. Sort of made the truck look like a buggy in the sharp turns. I have a ton of sets up upper arms is why I am willing to try it out. I have never broken on so I figure I will see what effect it will do. Works awesome for him.

Not sure. This was the first pic ever posted of it and no info besides that pic. If they have a sport model than I would think, yes close to a fusion sport, but if it is only a PRO model then it will be almost the price of a kit. Same as the Fusion buggies are compared to there Nitro counterparts.

do you know when you just open a box and already hate it.....well that happened with me and the caster. the thing i like most about it is the ramp i made out of the box lid for my micro t.shell needed modding, shocks are all the same length, the body mounting posts are the most stupid design on planet earth,i know a lot of you love the k8 but it just not for me. oh anybody can have it for £100 plus delivery(its never even had servos fitted)

Sorry to hear that. Guess some stuff ain't for some people. Honestly I do not see trimming up the body and whatever you saw wrong about the body posts [sm=confused.gif][sm=confused.gif] being a reason to hate it. All 4 shocks are the same size but designed that way and work perfect on the truggy if you were using the 16mm big bores and not the smaller old ones.

Well good luck with your next ride.

Mogi, can you post some pics? I might take it from you for 100 Pounds plus shipping... I'm VERY happy with my RC8T, but I wouldn't mind having something cheap to beat on and break in engines on....

??????????? huh?

brilliant editorial and review, thanks. yup, body post design is one of the most important features in truggies nowadays, if you want to win you have to have good body posts. forget how easy it is to drive and how tough it is in racing. oh and the longer shocks are to improve the handling and give the front more travel, which is actually better than other truggies. they do make some of the best boxes in the industry tho, gotta give'em that.

??????
