How did your xl5 get burned? i have 3 of them and all 3 have worked great. Were you running to much voltage through it or something? I have one if you are willing to buy it. I would personally not waist your time or money haha just save for brushless.

Send it into traxxas, or tell them, they will fix you up.

YAY i am posting a video right now on youtube of my brother's new MMM. Not a real video yet just a slideshow but it is easier than posting a bunch of pics. I will post it here when i am done.

... have any proof of it.. not trying to star a fight or anything just wondering.... Just didn't seem fast at all in that video..
Nah, I haven't got any proof, not now anyway. It was a 3050kv motor running 16.8v through a wide ratio Revo two speed, if that makes it any more believable. Had plenty of poke, would wheely as it hit second.

Oh, and the Slash lights, I believe the blackouts were on the original sticker sheet.

Oh yeah I wasn't trying to fight with your or start anything just wanted a bit more information... Becuase my E-savage ( wich is smaller and lighter) will do around 40mph with a 540 size motor ( medusa 36-50-3300 ) on 3s.. But on 4s and a bit bigger gearing it does almost 50mph...

Heres a few of my Traxxas truck collection... First one is a Rustler XL1 converted to VXL with Mamba Maxx and CR5700 motor, Lipo's and RPM parts... the rest is stock VXL.. thats all it needs.. I did put on 2.8 Hurricane wheels and Anaconda Rubber.

the next picture is of my TMaxx... been converted to 3.3Trans and running an OS18 TM engine...Very fast truck and pull unlimited wheelies all day.. This picture is a bit old, it now sports the new Prografix Body in Candy Apple Red.. looks great...

I am probably going to send in my sidewinder esc and 80 bucks to castle for a mamba max. I ruined my sidewinder and i need another esc so i figure it is a cheap way to get a mamba max.

not running front shocks on a rustler changes the way it handles so much.
uuggghhhh???? what? duh it is going to change the way it drives. The shocks are what hold the truck up dude, without them you are just scraping the ground.
look at the pic
