I use HPI's hump pack. They are all over ebay for cheap and really wake up your servos.

Get the Dynamite Field Charger and a power supply.

Power supply option: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXRJN7&P=ML

Are you running the stock radio? I did not think the stock radio had EPA. Correct me if I am wrong as I do not do RTR.
The RTR radio "TF-3" has this dial thingy called the "Steering Dual Rate", which kinda mimics the way EPA works. You could adjust your steering servo end-points to some degree using that. Its on page 9 of the Savage X RTR manual.

I know this but it is not EPA. Might work to a point but not as good EPA. Steering Dual Rate affects both right and left where EPA you set them one at a time. With DR this can leave the turning radius different from left to right.

Yes but mine started as a kit and did not come with a switch so I got that one. Being mine started as a 4.6SS pre X there is very little pre X. Much of it is not even X but up grades for racing.

I noticed that the fatuba has a J connector and the Airtronics has a Z connector. The hump pack says Universal connector. I don't know if Universal means it will fit both.. They look quite alike in the pictures though. I have no answer just details.

Just get yourself a XL on/off switch. It has the proper connector to run a hump pack and also comes with the charge lead. I got mine off of ebay.

Most but not all connectors this day and age are compatible with each other.
