thinking about a trade...what do you think?
My friend and I are thinking about trading. I'm trading him my Super Nitro Rally (.15 ss engine, racing clutch, and lightweight flywheel) plus a 50 or 75 watt sub woofer for his 200 watt sub. Should I got for it?

If your not using the car GO HEAD! I just think you need that big of sub in your room, maybe in a car. But unless you have parties all the time and you want your walls to vibrate theres no point.

I doubt that, depends on what kind it is and its new value.
I have a 1000 Watt sub in my living room and its doing o.k, I could have a little more but its doing the job for now.
Something like an SVS sub would be the ultimate.
I say check the value of the sub and compare, 200 watts is not much at all.

I'll check with my friend and get back to you guys. I know he said he paid somewhere between 200 and 250 for the sub from radio shack.

You seem pretty intent on getting the sub so I will tell you what you want to hear: TRADE!
Although in my opinion, Radio Shack subs are definitely not the way to go and 200watts is pretty darn weak even for a car!

I have heard nothing but negatives about radi shack subs, and 200 watts is NOTHING. 500-700 watt on ebay are cheaper than 200!
I say sell the car in your area and buy some nice subs

I have never bought audio at RS and never would, they sell garbage. Your nitro car is worth 250-300 if its any good at all, you can buy a JL AUDIO SW6 for that! If you need help figuring this one out-you do need help deciding. Infinity,JL audio, MB Quart, ADS,Velodyne, ETC.=GOOD. Radio Shack=wouldnt take for free. Understand? Good boy. Now sit.
No other place do you get what you pay for than audio equiptment. Even good quality electronics are 1/2 price used. Radio shack used should be free, and then used as a ash tray holder.....in the garage......for the roaches. Dont even waste your time even thinking about it.
