Few more pics, outdoors this time. Unfortunately I don't have the 2 extra TRX connectors I was going to use, so I'll have to wait till tomorrow before I run it.

Yeah, I can't either. I eagerly charged my batteries only to realize I didn't have the right connectors I thought I had. Oh well, I'll go by the LHS tomorrow and get a few. Hopefully I can go in there without coming out with another truck or something :|

I can take some nude in public pictures, the Savage isn't shy

Sheesh so impatient, I was outside taking them - there they are, Savage Flux HP - In the flesh.

It's built like a tank, as we've come to expect from the Savage platform. Everything is heavy and solid.

I really can't wait to run it [&:]

Yeah, it's great that they used the nitro savage platform. Far beefier than the E-savage one. This thing is big, heavy, and really formidable. Definitely the beefiest thing I've seen that isn't 1/5 or 1/6 scale.

Sell the E-maxx and E-savage, get this. It's pricey though, especially if you don't already have good batteries to use.

They really need a clutch for those engines to get smoother power delivery. Did you see that techno is releasing a clutch for electric motors?
Actually if I remember correctly, Tekno's ElectriClutch has been out for quite some time. I believe they released it right after they came out with their Revo conversion kit.

And great pics Sheo!

lol nice esc mount. Seriously dude that truck is a beaut. You might wanna put some more zip ties on that esc though, you wouldn't want the monster to get off it's leash hahaha .

A guy at my lhs just got one of these. I have not seen it yet but i am pretty sure I will be getting some stick time on it. Can't wait.
There's servo tape under the ESC. I don't know why they put a zip tie on it..........maybe to keep it stable during shipping? Mine has one too-I haven't cut it off yet.

I was surprised that it feels as heavy as my nitro Savage. The price is all relative....you know what you are getting into at this level.

Indeed, the price is right if you add up the cost of the parts.

It is worth it to just buy the RTR instead of what I am doing by getting all the FLUX parts right now off the only ebay seller that has chopped one up "speedie racers". He's a cool dude and my FLUX spec conversion has already cost me $249 for the MMM, another $170 in FLUX specific parts including now the TVPs. I should have just bought the whole damn thing and parted what I didnt need out of it. $419 total and all is left are pinions and the diffs. Add those and you are at $540.00. That IS if you already own a savage and re use the basic parts. So......I didnt get out of this for any cheaper then factory.....boo! =(

OEM is great b'cos it basically cuts all those middlemen out of most of the distribution chain. Only the final product has to go through the chain and for RTRs many shops get these direct rather than through a distributor. It means you get the truck you want for less, and more of the profit goes to the people who helped design the components of the truck (ie. Castle) rather than the distributors (ie. Horizon).
