Default Yak or Extra ???

Hi everyone... I'm wanting to move up to the 50cc class and I'm wondering if anyone can let me know what kind of a difference I might see in flight characteristics between the AW 50cc YAK and an AW 50cc Extra ??? Another possibility for me would be the new 50cc Ultimate 20-300. Great looking plane and I love flying bipes. My flying style is aerobatic / 3D. Regardless of my choice, it'll be an Aeroworks model forsure !!! I have the 1.20 Yak with a Saito 180 and love it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !

i just purchased a aw 50cc yak still putting it together though. when i bought it i talked to dennis at aeroworks on the difference of the two. he told me that the yak was more geared for presicion imac style flying, it would 3d well but had a little wing rock in harriers. the extra would 3d better than the yak, little more stable but wasnt quite as precise.

Yak is a good overall performer. 3D and aerobatics.

Extra tracks better and flies "straighter" if that makes sense.

Having flown both, IMO, the Extra is a lot more fun for precision aerobatics and the Yak was more fun for 3D. That being said, you can't go wrong with either. The Extra seems to fly faster and slip through the air better which is why I preferred it for IMAC type stuff. Both are great machines.
