No lolz...

I noticed it had a prexisting condition...a tiny crack. It is not a problem since there is 5lbs of alluminum and steel bracing all over it.

The LB is limping but always ready for action.

Oh yeah i know about the clod lolz...it had a ton of fun outside Hobbytown. Those 15 foot giant mounds were perfect for traction!

Both trucks are ready to rock and roll...for any vintage race and that is about it.

I have to give that LB credit...fast little sucker! It would easily blow a stock slash or the Desert Truck I used to have. But at turn or jump number one I would S.O.L.

I am sending out an S.O.S. for the clod...

As luck will have it my clod found a very low stump in my yard and bent the front steering linkages (already fixed...not a big deal) but I can see this area being exposed to some more abuse no matter ow hard i try to be careful.

If anyone sees a LOWER GEARBOX MOUNT that doesn't use the stock mounts pleaes send me a link. Junfac doens't seel them anymore and everyone else's setups seem to not accomodate an on axle setup like mine. I need something that comes around from the bottom and pulls in front of the servo and linkage. Junfac seems to be the only working setup...just let me know if anyone finds one online as I have had ZERO luck.

To run the NewEra setup, you'd need to run their axle holder / bumper, and most likely won't work w/ his current steering setup...

The New Era (there are two models they sell) both use the downward facing sideways servo mount. The brace has a place to just plop in the servo...it might be an option (I may try to contact them) but it is going to be major expensive with the braces/skids.

I sent junfac an email to South Korea (lol) They sell on ebay a few items, you can get TLT/Pajero skids from them still. I may get lucky like I did with ESP. ESP had those braces sitting in the back of a warehouse in a huge box and I lucked out. Maybe someone in R+D is using one as a keychain or paperweight.

I thought of going your route as well and troll on the clod crawler forums...there has to be a million people using clod axles in need of a well covering skid too.

Thanks for the heads up guys...I wish I was skilled enough to make my own but this is more elaborate then my simple lift kit and anti-twist. Hmmmm

I'd hate to drive my clod like a grandma haha!

Oh also...the MAgnetic Mayhem 22T on stock pinions and the EVX-2 seem to be pretty happy and low stressed. With some grass bashing, WOT wheelies and the like they were only a little warm and the ESC itself didn't even break a sweat.

At night you can see the sparks fly a little!

THe funniest thing about the clod that you CAN'T do with any other truck is actually STEER during a wheelie! The super strong servos like to move and when you turn say left while in a wheelie it leans the truck to the left and lets you steer...ONLY WITH 4WD/4WS!

Another thing I noticed is when it pops a wheelie (hold them nice and long like my LunchBox but not like a WW2) is that the front motor and wheels sitting in the air rev higher then the rears which are under a load and sometimes sputter the motor a bit. It kind of glitches for a sec. Hard to describe..maybe I need some capacitors or something...

looks good , i cant believe how nice the wheelie bar came out . cant wait to see it in action [8D] . check this pic out guess who has one in there show room http://www.pinshophobbies.com/pix/DSC00861.JPG look at the sweet frame lol . i will be going sunday for a bit to test out the rock course with the berg want to go
I wonder what he would sell that for...I think the Clodzilla II gave the clod a nice longer wheelbase...I also like the Sassy Chassis that is basically a longer alluminized clod chassis. I have seen them for a steel on fleabay but I am sticking with my current Super Stock setup

Do you have a preference to which CC-01 you like best? The T-Egg is pretty sporty..same platofrm...but I should should stick to the thread title or I'll get zapped by the thread police.

Wish I had the money right now...in a few weeks maybe!

You don't need the ramp if you hit the snow / ice pile.. it can still take off!
