I think this would be a good upgrade for your jump http://www.quicktechhobby.com/Engine...%20ENGINES.htm

^ There are tons all over youtube.. Those things cost anywhere from $2000-$10000 per unit... One day when I'm 40 and have enough clams, I'll build myself a 1/8 scale replica of an F-18 with one of these babies, or just buy a Skymaster kit.. It takes 10-20 grand to build a jet with one of those engines .

Tell me your gearing and engine setup, tire diameter, ramp height and angle, and the garage height/length, and I will approximate the maximum altitude and horizontal displacement of the truck, and tell you whether or not it has a good chance of clearing the garage.

Hobby, I'm also into homemade pneumatic and combustion based cannons, and in an attempt to predict the projectile trajectories more effectively than a simple zero air resistance model, I created an Excel spreadsheet that uses some fairly simple 2 dimensional physics and millisecond time steps to map its path in a realistic (air resistance) environment. It is fairly complex (Well, not to someone who has a ME degree or similar, but for "most"), and I have no idea how accurate it is with a shape as complex as a R/C car, but it should be close.

If anyone wants to see exactly how it works, I can post the equations.

Post it up! So this is a hobby that you thought of all on your own? "ME" degree = "me," or Masters in Engineering?...
