We will offer it with both .18 and .21. The .18 with 2-speeds are arriving first.

The also have a viper x2s 1/10 truck built on the same chassis. [link=http://www.himotoracing.com/product/truck/gas/truck_g013/details.php]Link[/link] Are they and redcat changing all the chassis to this new style? Its kinda cool I'm liking the sway bar. Theres also a [link=http://www.himotoracing.com/product/buggy/gas/buggy_g015/details.php]buggy[/link] on that chassis

I know the scales are different so is the chassis. But the chassis on the Redcat Aftershock will be the same as the HSP truggy you posted above both 1/8. The Redcat Vortex 1/10 will have the same basic chassis as the buggy and truck I posted before.

Here is the 1/10 Vortex SS.

http://www.redcatracing.com/RC-Cars/...o-Desert-Truck

The Vortex shares 90% of the same parts as the Tornado BB.
The Aftershock shares 80% of the same parts as the Sandstorm. The Aftershock will be using a 2 speed transmission like the landslide where the Sandstorm LT was single speed.

So to make changes to an existing vehicle you would simply need front and rear bumbers and mounts, body posts and body and wheels. That should do it.

It would be nice if you would offer it with the SH .18 option.

We will offer it with SH engine in about 90 days.

We will have Rampage Rollers in about 60 days but no plans for 1/10 or 1/8 rollers.

I never said they were HSP. Why would say they are HSP and link Himoto, strange. I said they in general reference to the link. The only difference between all these are the paint and graphics on the body. The bodies are the same and components are compatible with each other as long as there in the same class and size. Where the difference is, is the customer support and web pages. Personally I choose Redcat because the website was a lot easier than the others navigate at that time. Quality difference as far as I know there the same, just different aesthetically.

Hey everyone I'm a newbie to this place as well as rc cars/trucks.
I'm limited to electric as where I run my boat and truck.
thats all thats allowed so my thought was if you're going eletric go brushless.
I purchased the Vortex Epx Pro 1:10 brushless desert truck.
Does anyone have any input on this truck or is it to new.

Well its new, but its basically the buggy, with truck body mounts, and different bumpers. So it would be the same as the buggy. My gf's dad has the buggy and i have the truck, i love it, i wish it was faster (thats why im goin brushless soon) but its a blast. Im actually gonna either sell my truck and buy the vortex epx, or if i cant sell it just convert it.

So until parts and extras come out for the Vortex I can use Tornado parts?
and I might as well ask a stupid question now I know that BL stands for brushless but what does BB mean.

Well most parts are interchangeable. Like to convert my truck to the vortex i need wheels, body and bumpers. Or to convert to the tornado i need wheels, shock towers, body mounts, body, wing mount, wing and bumpers. So as you can see pretty much all parts are the same. The only thing you wouldnt be able to get off the buggy would your body mounts, bumpers, and body i think. If you break something or your gonna pick up some parts just post on the forum and see if they will fit if your not sure.

BL = brushless for electric.
BB = big block for nitro.
