new tires
i want to get some new tires for my tornado bb but i dont know what to get
i would preffer some that are bigger than stock but i would have to change my gear ratio then right?
also ill be driving on gravel and grass if that helps
i would like some paddle tires but they would only grip good in loose dirt and sand right?

RE: new tires
i put some HPI Pitchfork's on my landslide. they're a bit taller than stock, and a little heavier. i didn't change the gear ratio's and it does awesome. it spins the big tires with no problem, and they work very well in everything i've thrown at them, which would be everything but snow and mud (need a clutch or i'da had it out in the blizzard yesterday). the wheels i used are HPI's Mag 8 wheels which have 17mm hubs. you can use metric wrenches to measure your hub if you don't know what size they are.
i also have some paddle tires, but when i tried them out i had some weather related tuning issues and the truck wasn't running 100% and bogged like crazy on the sand dune due to too much traction, and not enough rpm's. i got them from amainhobbies.com, they are the Pro-Line MAXX paddles (under monster truck tires). the rubber is pretty soft on the paddles, so they'll really grip anywhere, but hard surfaces can tear them up.
the paddles are actually the same size as the stock landslide tires.

RE: new tires
If I were to put bigger tires on the BB I'd consider swapping the 2-speed out for a single-speed. I busted two one-way bearings in the 2-speed with stock tires, I'd hate to think what bigger tires would do.
