Hurricane
I'm looking at buying a JR xr2i Radio and receiver for my buggy. It comes with two new servos. Does anyone know if those servos will work with the hurricane. Will about any servo work with the hurricane, or are there special ones I need to look for.

RE: Hurricane
they will work as far as fitting in the servo tray....you will need to purchase some more durable servo horns (the ones that come with the radio will be thin and flimsy)...the splines on the jr servo's are different then the splines on your servo horns that came with you hurricane...
if your current servos work you can use them but there will be a lil tab on the servo plug that you will have to trim off so the plug will go into the reciever...just remember the black (or darkest wire can be brownish) always goes to the outside (short side of the reciever).....
also I do not know how much you are paying for the radio....a 75mhz. jr xs3 will allow you to change between 30 different frequinces at the turn of a dial and push of a few buttons (no more crystals)...its also a fm radio....the radio your looking at I believe (not sure) is a am radio....but anyway you can pick up a jr xs3 brand new for a bit over $100...like I said I'm not sure what your looking at price wise for the radio you posted your question about

RE: Hurricane
Well I really have no need for a real fancy radio, thats why I'm sticking with the am version, Plus its a little more simple to use. I really don't want all that button pushing crap.

RE: Hurricane
actually you pretty much have the same features on both radios...the radio its self looks identicle....one is just fm and gives you the option of changing channels....
here are is a couple options

you can find them in most local hobby stores (not sure if bassx will have them), also ebay....just need to make sure the are jr style horns

its in the rules...I suppose it may take business away from the paid adds on rcu (amain, hobby people so on and so forth)...which makes sense...just like your not supposed to give links to dealers for say redcat that does not pay to have ads
