Hitec servo centering problems
Hi Mike,
I have just purchased some 645 & 5645 servos and I can't get pairs to center properly. I am using Y-harnesses So they both get the same signal, with a Futaba 7 channel 2.4 Ghz. radio setup. I have switched leads in all tests. In all 3 pairs of servos one centers differently than the other. By mixing and matching other servos with these I can find ones that match, but I don't think that is the answer. Should I take all the new ones back to the dealer and try to match them?

The digital servos can be matched to each other with the use of the programmer. If using a Y-Harness with a Futabe 2.4 system I would recomend using a boosted one as Futaba's 2.4 systems have issues with low signal line voltage.

It's a y harness with a circuit that bumps up the signal line voltage to the servos. It would do the same thing as the smart fly power distribution boards.

I think if you search around, you'll find that the 645's arent' the best at centering to begin with.
I use them for throttle and find them ok, but I'm not that picky...

True since it is a sport level servo. It won't compare to the higher end servos we sell but in this case the gentleman has a radio system with known problems.
