broken drive shaft
i was driving my tornado around yesterday and i was jumping it about 3 ft in the air and i noticed the rear wheels werent spinning then i noticed that the drive shaft from the gearbox to the rear diff broke. how does that break? was it just a week shaft?

they normally don't break, UNLESS you didn't lock tight or get the drive cup tight and it came loose and rubbed on the drive shaft. At the same time 3 fet is a pretty good hight for one of these buggies and it may have broken from the torque if your were giving it gas when it landed.

yeah, These buggies dont have any kind of slipper clutch.. so when it lands ( giving Throttle ,to compensate alignment with the ground) it lands with the tires spinning at a high rpm and theres no give on the drivetrian. From the clutch bell, to the plastic spur gears, then to the driveline and eventualy the diffs. <from all of these parts, something will eventually take a beating. but hey, if you dont break anything, you arnt having fun!
