Help me select...Aeroworks Ultimate 50cc, Yak 54 50cc, or Extra 300 50cc
Help me select one aircraft; Ultimate 50cc, YAK 54 50cc, or new Extra 300 50cc.What are pros and cons of each aircraft? I like ultimate but would like response from people who have flown any or all of the above mentioned aircraft. I will be using DL55cc engine.

Asif
You are saying you have AW YAk 50cc and AW Extra 260...correct? Which is better of the two?
A friend of mine is also suggesting that I should look in AW Extra 260....awaiting your feedback.

I like the one before the storm. If it's not raining we are flying, even if we have to land between storms haha.
Thats just going by looks though.
I think I am gonna wait for some review on the 50cc Extra 300 QB.
Jake I saw your review....loved the aircraft!!! I am gonna decide between Extra 300 QB and Extra 260 QB.

Thank you for your interest in our 50cc size QB planes. The New 50cc Extra 300 received allot of attention in Toledo. It is by far the best looking 50cc on the market today.
The 300 is as stable as the 260 with a better roll rate, more consistent snaps and smoother precision flight characteristics.
The 260 has been one of our BEST selling QB planes and is still going strong. It is very stable and has very good 3D performance.
The Ultimate is in a class by itself. It is a faster flying, very precise model with an incredible roll rate. Snaps are precise and predictable and with its large wing area it is stable and light in the air.
The Extra 260 and Ultimates are In Stock and the 300’s are expected in approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
I don’t know if this helped at all are just confused you more. I am just happy that we can offer you such a wide range of product to choose from.
Thank You

I will say this, I have two Aeroworks planes in my hanger and chances are I will acquire more over the coming years, in my opinion you will not find a better built ARF than the Aeroworks QB line of planes. They are solid although they are not the lightest airplanes on the market, due to the fact they are well built they really stand the test of time and the rigors of everyday flying. It is your choice which one to purchase, you will not go wrong with any of them.
Thanks for your reply.... I guess I should wait for Extra 300 50cc to be release... I am in no rush!!
I love Extra 300s.....
Hooked-On-Rc: Thanks for you feed back.
Maineflyer: I am not a big fan of Edge..... I like both Ultimate and Extra 300
1/3 plane - 1/3 setup - 1/3 skills, choosing an aeroworks plane takes care of the first 1/3 completely.
You can't go wrong with any AW extra. I fly an AW 260 - raised my skills farther with this plane than any other I've owned. 100cc 300 next for me.
Cheers,
Andrew.

I too struggled with the same decision as you, I had all but decided to get the Ultimate when Aeroworks released information on the soon to be released Extra 300. I already have the 90 – 1.20 size Yak 54 and I have never seen or built a plane of this quality before. The Quick Build Kits almost fall together out of the box. Although it was a very tough choice I finally place an order for the Extra 300 through Hiflight in Edmonton. Some of the deciding factors for me were: The Extra is canister capable, has for me an easier field set up, and has no visible cowling screws. The Extra also appears to have more room in the radio compartment (but that is just a guess on my part). If you are still torn as to which plane to get, go down to Hiflight and talk to the Doug or Les, both are very knowledgeable and would be glad to help you make an informed decision. Unlike most Hobby Shops, Hiflight has the full line of Aeroworks models displayed in a way that you can actually see what the plane looks like and get a good Idea as to the size and quality. No, I don’t work for Hiflight! I’m just very Impressed with their customer service. You have already made the right choice in going with Aeroworks; you really can’t go wrong with any model you finally decide on.
