WOW..thats looks GREAT!....I did'nt want to steal your thunder, so I waited for you to post your pics first...Here some pics of my 24% Cessna 414 scratchbuild. Only the outline of the fuse, from the instrument panal aft, was taken from the plans. Everything else was different than plan. Did you ever put a twin sync on it ???? I don't know when my maiden will happen.........Rick

That looks great also! I really enjoy seeing R/C general avaition twins, and I don't think there are enough of them. I have one question. Is your landing light on the nosegear functional, and where did you get it? I am building a Turbo Commander and need two of them. Thanks,
Jeff

Herold, you need to be flying 2.4 on that plane !! DON'T take any chances !! DON'T fly without a twin sync !! With all my beta testing over the years....and over 500 test runs and flights...I have never had the twin sync fail.....somewhere a twin crashes every week because the pilot did not realize that he had an engine out.....OH WELL........get one PLEASE......The nose light is a 3 watt, 3 cell working light and is the brightest light you will ever see on a RC aircraft. It leaves a retina burn on your eye when looking directly at it......is that bright enough ??? The details on it are on the thread "Terrific Twins, pics, scale only" on the Multi engine forums. Post # 82, 83, 85 including the wing tip strobe install. Rick

Herold, I did not really understand your response. Do you mean you had a twin sync on the plane and had some RF issues? Let me know what problems and I will help get them resolved BEFORE you fly it again !! Did you mean you are getting a 2nd twin sync because the 1st one you had caused some RF problems ?? I need to know exactly what the range check yeilded with NO engines running....and with BOTH engines running.....the PCM 72 mz units I have tested yeild anywhere from 75 meters to 150 meters with engines running. If it yeilds less than 75 meters...you definatly have too much RF getting into the RX....Don't fly it.... The 2.4 yeilds over 300 meters with my bind button held down, (reducing the output), with engines running....The range check is the MOST important thing you will EVER check on that aircraft.........Take the plane back to the field with a tape measure, just to get some numbers for me and don't fly it untill I say so.....PLEASE........Rick

I am very impressed with the way your Cessna flies! It looks so scale in flight. I figured it would be much faster than that (which doesn't look very scale). Nice building job, and nice flying also. I only hope my project comes out as well as yours!

Absolutely gorgeous plane!!!!!!!!!!! Question for the Twinsynch fanatics, Why not use a quality Gyro on the plane then instead of a dead stick landing which is what twinsnch does you can continue to fly while the gyro compensates for you. Just wondering since gyro technology has improved so much.

What kind of lights did you use? I am trying to decide which to use. I am thinking a set of wide angle LED's but I don't know how bright I need them to be. Do you know what the luminesence (sp?) rating on yours is?

I am using the lights from RAM (navegation, dual strobo, rotate beacon, lights), i can say that they could be a litle stronger as the cessna is very big...
