Anyone know anything about EasyTiger Models?

http://easytigermodels.com/index.php...index&cPath=14

I haven't heard of them before, and I'm wondering about the quality of these planes.

Thanks, Jim

I ordered his Avenger ARF.  Both the customer service and the quality of the airplane were very good.  I will order from him again.

Jim,

I don't like to be negative... But, I have has a very bad experience with this site. I ordered a Cessna 185 with floats from this site over nine weeks ago and it still has not come. I have called many times and talked to the owner, who told me first just to wait a couple of weeks to see if it was lost in the mail. Then, he says the order was not processed due to an oversite. SoI waited another two weeks and still no airplane. He now says my order was mixed up with someone who has a name close to mine. But he did not offer to just send me another plane. He wanted to analyze his records to find out what went wrong, and wanted me to call my local post office to see if maybe they had it. They didn't... and could not find any record of a package shipped from Easytigersmodels to my address. The owner was supposed to call me back again last night, but he didn't, so I emailed him this morning to pull the plug on this transaction asking for my money back. We'll see how that goes...

have their Avenger and have been pleased with the plane. I even got another cowl for the plane after a nose over landing messed it up. Curtis is a good guy and should take good care of you. The Avenger flys great and looks very nice. Don't know about the other planes as this is the only one I have, but I would order again from them if I needed another plane.

I'm in the negative. Red and white Cessna from them had the tail come completely off due to the wood coming apart.where the stab was epoxed on. Poor wood poor design. May have been faulty workmenship. This was on its maiden flite. A very bad crash. Bent crankshaft etc. A friend took the wreck home totally rebuilt it. Again first flite after the rebuild,. Stabilizer broke off on both sides of the rudder. The plane was built with some kind of grey wood. grain going the wrong way. Easy Tiger had many alibi's claiming all my fault. The elevators came off first both breaking clean at the fuselage sides. Easy Tiger offerred another one at 25% off. Why waste another $400. Stuka Jon

Hi Guys,
I ordered a EDF Skyray from ET, and it was delivered in about 3days. The quality seemed satafactory but on my 1st flight, the motor burned out . I called ET and he sent me a complete new plane the following week. I have not had a chance to fly the new one because of bad weather. I would buy from ET again. Just my opinion, good luck.

Stuka,
Are you talking about the 100" Cessna L-19 Bird Dog?? My brother is interested in this plane but when I saw your response I asked him to hold off to see if I could get more info. Why were they blaming you?? This plane should be a slow flier and I don't understand how the tail could just rip apart twice. If you don't want to get into any great detail on this forum about the wood problem or why EasyTiger was blaming you could you PM me with some info?? Thank you.

im glad i saw this thread. my brother and i both were going to purchase a plane from them this friday. now i assure you this will be put on hold. they showed up a few months ago with alot of advertising and made their products seem extremely good. but with other companies like great planes and topflite as well as some others that go the extra mile to replace bad workmanship (not immediatley accusing the purchaser, even paying shipping cost) why bother with this supplier. i hope they see this thread. it just cost them at least a grand. they need to understand that most of their customers which buy their large aircraft , know of, and read this site.

Oh guys come on. They're an honest American company that's probably just too swamped with the economy and orders for the time being. I like the place, and am going to buy from them again. Give them some time, they're pretty new.

Hello Everyone,

Just to update you all on my purchace of the Cessna 185 with floats.
I finally got the plane that I ordered almost 11 weeks ago. But, there was no hardware in the box. I called ET and was told that they would ship out the hardware pack, and I'd have it in a few days. I have to mention that I missed several Fly-Ins, including Joe Nall, two local and the Fourth of July, and that I would have liked to show this plane off.

of course people take arfs to fly-ins. there wouldn't be many planes at fly ins nor would there be support for fly-ins at most clubs without the arf flyers, and if I were in the rc warbird business I would be REAL happy to see them there. those arf pilots are likely to be your next customers.

Interesting: it appears that ET and TBM are bringing in the same planes from the same manufacturer: ie, P-51 and F4U sure look alike!

Hey Yall,

It's me again... Updating on the the Cessna 185 with floats. I have not recieved the promised hardware for the plane that was missing from the box. I now have tried to call Curtis several times in the last couple of weeks and can only get his voice mail. He never returns my calls now. Has anyone else had any problems talking to him? If this keeps up I will have to refer him to my credit card company.
