More teeth on your clutch bell is going to give you more top speed/less acceleration, more teeth on your spur is going to give you more torque/less top speed. [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVPA5&P=7]This[/link] is the air filter that everybody seems to use these days....

I can't seem to find it at A-Main...From my experience, Towerhobbies has a much better selection and prices, as well as the fact that their search feature works much better.
edit: I checked their stock by manufacturer and my suspicion was correct, Amain doesn't carry that filter...

As Joker Already said, you Need the Losi Spin-Start Starter Shaft And you can just use your Drill with it...As I Believe the HPI Starter Spins the Opposite Direction (But I'm not a 100% Sure) If it does fit the HPI Starter you could just Re wire you Battery
and I like the Dynamite Max-Life's

I have either an O.S. Hot Glow plug or a O'Donnell Hot Glow plug, and im using sidewinder fuel. I forget the nitro content. Should I just get cheap glow plugs for break in or?

all-rounder, and will guarantee the engine to start. When you start to tune the engine for performance, than i
would start to stick to the same plugs, to save confusion when tuning...

I just run the SF-5 Hpi servos on most of my Savages. You can spray them with silicone to pretty much waterproof them, I find that it is water in the RX that causes more problems. Not that I would intentionally drive in water or anything. Glen

Run what you would like, but I am betting the steering servo will not cause much trouble as it points down. It is exposed to the elements, but unless you submerge it, you should be good. The RX though is easy to splash water into and that will mess up your day. Glen

Did you get the [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/16/products_id/19828/n/HPI-Racing-Clutch-Bell-17T-Savage-X]vented[/link] bell or the regular one? If you got the regular one you're most likely going to melt your spur after a couple long runs...

RE: QUICK WHICH ENGINE AND WHY for my SAVAGE!!!
I am not a huge fan of Motor Saver Filters at all....I have seen them fail far too many times in the past....... I much prefer to use a 1/8 filter from a Mugen/OFNA or RB... then if your going to run in dusty conditions wrap the filter in Blue paper towel shop cloth.... just cut a strip and wrap the filter with it, attaching it with a few rubber bands.....I find the regualr 1/8th filter clamp onto the foam element better and provides a much better seal, the Motor Savers don't seem to clamp the filters as well and in many times dirt will get sucked into engine under the filter...... The awesome part of the shop cloth filter is that the pre-filter can be changed as many times as you want at almost no cost... At a big race we change our pre-filter every time we run , and our main filter stays nearly perfectly clean the entire time....... This is an extremely reliable system that works amazing in dirty conditions....Also another tip is to smear a thin layer of filter oil on the top and bottom cap the filter sits in, this helps seal the filter elemnt to its holder , the thicker and stickier the oil the better it works......

RE: QUICK WHICH ENGINE AND WHY for my SAVAGE!!!
I didnt buy the air filter, ill probly get one from my local hobby shop so i can take a look and hold it in my hand. The motor saver air filter is kinda alot for such a small air filter for these things, i could make one myself!
