With my PNP using the stock 10 7 prop I was only getting about 10 minutes flight time and the ESC and battery would get a little warm. I tried a Master Airscrew 10 6 and it doubled my flight time, the ESC stayed cool and the plane will hover and pull out of it strong. With the stock prop it wouldn't even come close to hovering. This prop is more rigid than the stock prop, I think it's not usually for electrics. I did a search and didn't see anyone posting using this prop.

JD - thanks. I've decided to use the Heads Up RC Power Up 450 motor, Power Up 32A ECS and a 2200 Lipo. The 450 motor has almost the same specs as the Park450, just a little higher Kv, but a 1/3 the price.

I just got done installing a 450/1280kv rc smart. Put a 10x7 on it. Hope it does not get too hot! I have been running a e-flite 450/890kv/3s/3000mah/10/7. Motor was getting a little bit more than warm. Any1 else running higher kv motors have any suggestions on other props? I also was thinking of trying a 4s/3000mah. thanks for looking, any thoughts.

Got A 30 amp speedo and that motor for 20 bucks new china e of bay

Well, it happened again [&o]. My MUS went in hard this past Saturday. Our club was having an electric Pylon/Combat competition, and I put my MUS in during the Pylon race. I made it to the final round, and after the third turn, I got disoriented, and down she went.
I'm going to rebuild it from scratch rather than buying another kit. I was able to salvage some of the covering to make templates out of, i'll post pics when it's done.

I'm really loving mine - it is in the truck everytime I go to the flying field. I'm running a APC 10X7E on a Heads Up RC Power Up 450 motor, Power Up 32A ECS and a 2200 Lipo. Unlimited vertical, fast, and a really great flying plane. Even though I bought a PowerUp 480 for it if it was not enough, I ended up putting the 480 on my GP P-47. Except for the landing gear breaking out once (another pilot was flying it), I've had no compliants at all. It's forcing me to get more electrics, especially with the price of fuel going up. I figure I can buy my batteries for $16 each and fly them all year, so the cost is actually coming down to fly. Plus, no clean-up, bad glowplugs, etc. Yeah, I still get ribbed by my buds at the field, but it sure is nice to just slap a battery in and fly in a minute!

I loved that MUS when I had it. I'm now flying the bigger brother, the 25e version. Flies just as good plus much better on windy days.

I was the only one flying electrics at our field and also had to put up with all the teasing and joking about my electrics. Well, another member has converted to electrics and there are a couple of other members who have purchased electrics and I can see they really like them for the reasons you mentioned while the rest of them are asking questions about cost of batteries, ESC's, etc. Electrics are so much nicer!

And no complaining from the wife about the smell in the garage and on clothes. I personally don'tg mind the smell of glow fuel, but the wife would have them in a storage shed as far from the house as possible....LOL

For those using the higher KV motors I would suggest using a 10 X 5 APC. The 10 X 7 is taxing the Park 450 as it is and if you run it wide open will definately warm the motor. I tried an AXI, a while back that was 1050 kv and it was actually hot, coming down. I now use the Alpha motors from NitroPlanes or hobbypartz.com. They have the same specs as E-Flight and are 1/3 the cost. After using them and comparing then to E-Flight counterparts, I think thay may actually be better.....JMHO
