OOps read this again, now I know what you mean. I just used a small piece of the colored electical tape to cover the antenna and hatch holes.
Ok, that's what I would have done finally but I thought it wouldn't last / resist a lot... I'll give that a try !

I won't have to drill the hull as I'm using a 3PK Radio with 2,4GHz module. The receiver antenna is only about 3in long...
2.4 the way to go for sure. Good luck

Well the silicone is dry finally.
I hope to get it out tomorrow and see how it is.
I too am thinking about moving the water pick up.
More cooling never hurt anything

Feigao 8xl and the foam up front is just yellow noodle.
When i got my hands on the green i didnt feel like pulling out my 12L just to replace the foam.
When i pulled the 12L and put in the 8XL i forgot all about the foam, so the yellow will be in for a little while longer.

I like the noodle pieces in the back of the boat.
Looks good
Throw some Lipo's at that thing and it will be sick.
Had mine at the lake today and the seal was a failure took it out.
Just going to start taping the lid.
easier and hopefully no water in the hull or very little.

I took it out this evening about an hour or so ago and ran a k48 prop.
Made a couple changes after the first run and made big improvements.
Wont be running a k48 anymore.

Yup, just extra floatation incase the boat decides to get air born and land on me upside down.
Use to run lipos awhile back but got out of that scene.
Yes, tape the hatch.
I can run my boat 3 or 4 times on 3 or 4 different sets of packs and i wont have a drop of water in my hull.
I ran 2 packs through it this evening and i didnt see a single drop of water anywhere on the inside of my hull.

I take it, the 48 was to much prop?
Did you have a gps to get some speed #s
and why did you get away from lipos?

I believe it was on the border line of too much and just perfect for what my set up is.
Im going to try and take some timing away from the motor and giving it another go with the k48 first.

No GPS for speeds.
I do have video though

No lipo because i dont need them.
Have ran them before and just wasnt impressed with what i had.
I actually only had about 40 china packs. Never had a problem with them, its just ive ran similiar speeds on my nimh packs.
So i sold the lipo's and bought more nimh's. I run 16 and 18 cells in my supervee at a time.
Whenever i get back into lipos, i'll end up picking up some Turnigy packs or Zippy packs.

Are you looking to sell them. I am pretty happy with my ener-g 4200's but it never hurts to have another set because my GP3300 are almost dead.

Nice setup wake!  That thing looks more stable than my SV with the stock motor!  My experience with lipos has been the opposite as yours.  I thought the SV27 was completely lame until I tried my lipos in it.  It made an incredable difference.
I'm thinking of running either a 12xl on 25.2v lipo, or a 2650kv Neu motor on 16.8v lipo in my supervee.  Your video just gave me a boost in confidence!
Keep em comin bro!  I wanna see what it does with the smaller prop.

A 12XL on 6s, 22.2v (not 25.2v) would be a great setup and not pull to many amps.. 30,858rpm
the 2650kv Neu on 4s 14.8v (not 16.8v) would be to much rpm and waste power.. 39,220rpm

I'm a bit new to RC boats...What happens with too much RPM in a boat?  The 2650 is made to run 4 cells in a truck (I run a 2200 on 6 cells in my E Revo).  Does the prop cavitate if it's spun too fast?  ...Or is it a matter of heat (which is considerably different in the Neu motors vs. the Feigao).  Thanks for the help.
A fully charged lipo is 4.2v/cell.  6 cells is actually 25.2v and 4 cells 16.8v when fully charged.  This is why ESCs like the MMM are rated for 25.2v. Nominal voltage is 3.7 per cell which would net the numbers you listed (22.2/14.8)

Boat motors are on constant load and will pull more amps than in a truck or car if using to big of a prop and will heat up fast...
better to go low kv and higher volts, pulls less amps

and lipos are rated and sold as, 2s -7.4v, 3s- 11.1v, 4s -18.5v, 6s -22.2v, etc
if the cells are not balanced and charged correctly they will not be at 4.2v per cell
