Sticky tires Where?
I picked up a NOS Duratrax Street force GP (a good price) off of E-bay. I am still in the process of breaking it in it starts pretty easy I must say. Yes the steering is touchy. But the tires are less that to be desired. While I will use the tires for the break in. I just would like to know where can I get a set of tires that fit this car I have an extra set of rims for this purpose and just need tires so this thing stays on the road. I want to put a "trackstik" on it and see if it will go the 50+ MPH as advertised. But with these tires it will crash and burn before it even gets close.
Thanks

Thanks for the info. While it may not handle the road in stock form. This has been the first nitro that starts on the first pull. And runs rather well

ya, my Associated NTC3+ always started first or second pull with the AE .15, I have since dropped an OS .18 CV-RX into it that is bump start. it always starts instantly. that said thos pirelli tires I mentioned above are the only things I caould find that still allow me to have any control of my car without getting shredded by that OS engine power output.

My 18tz starts before the end of 1 full pull. As for the tires. I'd tell you Jaco foams but foams are really tricky depending on where you are running.

Well I blew out a control arm and a couple of front end parts slamming a curb. Just wondering if these parts are still available. I think most of the parts I can prefabricate from extras. It is just the control arm that is shot. Would the GP2 control arm fit if not where can I get an original.

What is "tricky about foams? I am wanting to get a set for for my TC3 with an OS 18TZ and I have my eye on a couple sets on ebay. is there anything I need to consider before I just get a set off ebay? everything I have read or heard about foam tire is they grip much better than rubber and last longer. sounds like a win win to me but maybe I am missing something?
Thanks

RE: Sticky tires Where?
The foam tires are rated by their shore number , the higher the number the harder the foam. 30-35 shore is very soft and it gives you alot of traction but a 30 shore tire will not wear as long as a tire that has a shore rating of 40. However that 40 shore tire will not have as much grip as the 30 shore tire either so it is a compromise between wear and grip !! And the amount of grip will vary from track to track on a high grip track the 30 shore tires may give you too much traction and the 40shore tires may work better for you .

Thanks nitrohead,I was wondering what the shore number ment when I was looking at tires.
I'll probably go for the 40 shore tires in either 30mm or 40mm or 40mm on the back and 30mm on the front. that would give me plenty of traction and should wear pretty well too.
Thanks

RE: Sticky tires Where?
trust me reeve you won't be disappointed... I got through a good 4 months of maniac driving my NTC3 with the camber and toe allout of whack, and still have tread left on the old pirellis, After I switched to the new ones and used the proper tuning gauges to make sure my alignment is set up right, the new ones are wearing surprisingly well even after dropping an OS .18 CV-RX in.... want to try some Jacos though too just to see if they hold up any better, but as far as keeping an over powered NTC3 drifting smooth the pirellis have been quite exceptional!
