67 videos at roughly 10 minutes avg each....11 hrs of video...wow. How much time does he have in the project anyway? Does he plan on kitting the B1 or is this a limited run? I vote for the B58 and I am guessing that he is only 1/2 way thru....134.......for the video count

Hey Butch, I vote for the B-58,the F-105, and ones you will never cut for me, the SU-47 or the SU-54. (I know how much you LOVE Russian airplanes!)HA! But seriously, I know how much effort you have put in the B-58,so convince Paul to finish the 105 and go on to the B-58!JOHN G P.S that will be about 756 videos!!!!!

1/6th of the F-101 Voo doo would a Big model. here are the specs for a B model. Wing 39.8 over 6 = 6.6 or 79 Inch Wing, but the Fuse would be 134 inches.
Specifications: McDonnell F-101B Voodoo
* Crew: Pilot and navigator
* Length: 67 ft 5 in (20.55 m)
* Wingspan: 39 ft 8 in (12.09 m)
* Height: 18 ft 0 in (5.49 m)
* Empty weight: 28,495 lb (12,925 kg)
* Max takeoff weight: 52,400 lb (23,770 kg)
* Engines: Twin 16,900 lbf (75.2 kN) Pratt & Whitney J57-P-55 afterburning turbojets
* Maximum speed: Mach 1.72 (1,134 mph, 1,825 km/h) at 35,000 ft (10,500 m)
* Range: 1,520 mi (1,320 nm, 2,450 km)
* Service ceiling: 58,400 ft (17,800 m)
* Rate of climb: 49,200 ft/min (250 m/s)
Maybe 8th would be better.
how about that Tupolev Tu-160 in 1/8th Scale?

Started the drawing for the F-101. My goal is to some day have the Century Series in 1/6th scale. F-100, F-102, F-104,F-105, F-106. But I don't think I will live long enough for that.

How are the bearings in the wings going to be captured? Did you guys figure it out yet?

Bob and his Dad has about 4500 hour in the model as of right now. I had put about 4000 hours and Paul has put in about 500 hours . So 9000 hour total as a rough guess. And then you add materials, glass, resin and all the other stuff. It is a considerable project. As far as kitting the model I don't know. The price would be to a point that a person would have to be very serious to want one. $1500 won't cut it!
Just found this thread and am going to be late for an appointment because of it. Being essentially Scottish we are sparing with praise but this is an amazing project. I would love to be there for the test flights. You too are a dreamer.
