Both. I've seen flat, and I've seen semi-gloss. Usually anything with winter camo on it is flat. A few of the special paintjobs seem to be semi though...

I decided to go with the lustrecoat flat....has a lil gloss to it. I am just waiting for the stencils and yes I couldn't wait to let the pilot out....I am finding out that ny basementhas lousy lighting, I will need to do something about this in the future

Dan, probably not. I got tired of waiting for the paint to arrive so I painted with what I had. Usually you do light colors first and work your way into thedark colors. The paint covered well and I am not to disappointed. Moel masters is not to bad of paint to use. I think I am up to about 12 half ounce bottles and maybe 2 cans of lustre coat flat clear. Hopefully this answers your question.

So Rambro, you gonna get this bad boy test flown before the WOTR? I will be there on Friday if you need any help. I can give you some tips about the field that may help with your success. Also, if you are comfortable, we can fly some formation. I will be camped there all weekend and when we are done, I'll share a cold one with you by my fire! We can talk Warbirds. Keep after it!!

RE: Roamin Research Mig 3 build!!
Hi All,
Like everyone else I can't weight to see the flight report/vid as I am contemplating building one myself. However I have a question for the masses, has anyone converted one to electric? What sort of motor/esc/batt setup would be required?
Ram-bro,
I might of missed it but have you got an all up weight for this beast? and are you considering making any more header covers?
Cheers,
Chilli

Chilli, the bird weighs about 30lbs dry. Electric conversion could be expensive to say the least. I do have molds made of the header covers if you would like a set made.........Is yours the Roamin Research bird? Fokke, thanks for the kind words, how is yours coming and when will we see yours fly?
