RE: Official NITRO RUSTLER thread!!
Hello all,
My son (9) has been driving a nitro sport for several months now that belongs to his brother (13) who has had for about 3 years. I am in the process of building a 60x90 dirt off road track in the back yard for my boys and ordered my 9 yr old his own Rustler 2.5 today......he has no idea it is coming. Anyway he is a pretty good driver but I do expect things to break. What parts you peeps recommmend to get extra?
Thanks

walkingtall -> get RPM arms and a RPM wide front bumper. maby a RPM rear shocktower if you plan on building some decent jumps on the track. also acouple backup steering nuckles
To All:
having major problems with MIP CVD's. they keep breaking, and snaping all over its getting very expsnive and wasting my time. are there any better CVD's any of you run that you recomend? i mean i beat the crap out of my rustler and need someting that can take some abuse and the torque from he 3.3
thanks all

stock tires are ok for both really, but best offroad because you dont go through them as fast. As far as on the street the anacondas are probably pretty good depending on what you like, and are looking for.

tighten your clutch a bit and it should get the wheels up..... Its not all that fun once you have it up though. THats when you start breaking stuff. I was the same way with mine. But wheelies cause issues. The anacondas should help you hook up better though. They suck for trying to drive on grass or dirt so just for on road driving.

dont do aluminum, it just bends and gets messed up. Get rpm parts. Very durable. A lot less money. Looks arent everything. Functionality is.
P.S. You dont have to post the same question multiple times if it doesnt get answered right away. Not a lot of people monitor this thread. If they come and read the one they will answer if they have an opinion or a comment. Asking over and over isnt going to make them look in the thread. Just FYI. Good luck

RE: Official NITRO RUSTLER thread!!
what mods have to be done to install the 3.3 motor? What upgrades could i do to get the most out of it for all terrain? i love blazing high speeds off road and also i like popping wheels on road (to show off of course). i have an electric rustler that i had for some time i recently aquired the nitro one the carb is junk so i was thinking on changing (upgrading) the motor and keeping the 2.5 for a spare. i am new to the nitro world so iif you have any other info that you think would be good for a newbe please feel free i am open to any info. thanks
