Couldn´t you get one Online? Some US-dealer offer special prices for customers outside the US in order to offset higer shipping costs.
Or you may get your Sanwa SD-10 from Hongkong.

the problem buying online is the brazililian customs. They charge almost 80 percent over the total cost of the order (including shipping and insurance). Travellers are authorized to bring 500 dollars in products with them (no customs taxes)...

After carry the external powered RF module, SD-10G become PPM RF enabled.
It works great to my eHeli, park fly and DLG with PPM tiny receivers.

From beginning...
The SD-10G surprise me on following "value creation" :
1. The most affordable competition grade TX
2. Not only SWITCH assignable but also all CHANNEL assignable. It is BEST feature for wire unplug free from FUT/JR channel assigned models and even better to have a 2CH tiny receiver for R/E DLG via CH1=ELV, CH2=RUD assignment.
3. Generate PPM8 signal to compatible with traditional PPM equipments although it born as a native DEDICATED 2.4G TX. I observe dedicated 2.4G's binding & fail save are integrated in tx programming menu instead of hard button outside. RDS8000 is not native 2.4G. It is inside converge from existing PPM8 RD8000 just like JR doing in 9303. My next project could be "repack" RDS8000 2.4G into an independent module for my JR 10X and MPX EVO.
Those reasons trigger me to bridge the SD-10G to control others PPM eHeli,parkfly and gliders in additional to its great 2.4G performance.
It is easy to "read" SD-10G PPM8 signal from the pin (Right upper pin view from SD-10G back) and outer shield is grounding.
Then make a interface
1.Level the PPM8 signal to JR module
2.Provide a +6V regulated power for oscillation of JR module.

CHANNEL assignable(Don't mix with SWITCH assignable) is the reason that I like MPX EVO too.
That's the great feature but two of my competition grade transmitters, JR 10x and Futaba 9Z WCII, do not provide.
None-Channel assignable TX need to unplug lots of wire and reconnect for different brand's default channel assignment while change in between.
It's a nightmare..... need to remember & check original brand's channel assignment.
Mis-connect servo to channel are usually happened in complex 6 Servo wing configuration applications.

The two hole are as pointer point.
I use these two hole as supporter of home made TRAY .
However you can use an AV cap to make them invisible.

Thanks DRMA, the diagram is good but...what is the transistor in the interface? PnP type I think, but which one , or does it not matter as we're just using it to amplify the signal a little?
the capacitors are 103 microfarad??
What I am looking to do is use a JR DSM2 interface rather than the PPM one as then I can get and use the bind'n'fly models more easily also the small parkflyer rxcombo that they have put out now for motorising old balsa models ie small Guillow ones....this gould be a really neat addon for the SD10
the JR DSM2 convertor takes the same PPM signal and converts it to DSM2 output...so this should be identical to your use.

I have no idea what JR/Spektrum do regarding the Japanese market versus the US market. Sanwa's modulation scheme and power is the same AFAIK. FHSS-3 and FHSS-1 is the same here as in Japan.

Some people are selling the SD10G with 10Ch receiver for 419,99 (from Hong Kong). What do you think guys? Is it assembled with the same quality and techinical specs?

I got SD-10G with even better price in Taiwan shop. And another RDS8000 was purchased from US mail order.
SD-10G works fine with the FHSS-1 8CH receiver comes from RDS8000. It is marked SANWA instead of AIRTRONICS.
From the charger plug and CE mark, looks like the EU export package.

I have been a JR user for the past 25 or so years. Mike Greensheilds and the SD10G have won me over and I will be ordering one in about a week.
The thing that won me over was the speed of the transmitter. I asked Mike what the latency is with the 8 channel receiver and he told me it
was 18 ms. That is half the latency of my X9303! I can't imagine how the 10 channel will feel.
I,m sold!!!!

it is smooooth and I am looking forward to installing the 10 chl rx as it is even faster ... not sure how that will affect things though as it is the servos that really control things I guess....we'll see....

Coming back to the Servo issue. Can I use any digital servo regardless of brand which the 10ch Rx? And what would be the max. size of servo per chanel. Some bigger digital servos draw highter currents than analog servos.
I am planing to put the 10ch Rx in a 1:5 warbird with flaps and dual elevator servos. All toghter 9 digital servos.

I am using Hitec 5955's, 5625's, 5645s, 5485's, 6965's plus a variety of Futaba digitals with no problem. 9 digital servos on a 1/5 Warbird will be far less power consumption than the 40% planes consume with 10-12 servos and up. Unless you are doing a 1/5 scale B-29. In comparison to a 40% aerobat, the servos on your plane won't be working very hard either, as warbirds have relatively small surfaces and small deflections.

Reference Point - yesterday I flew a 10 minute flight on my 89", 17lb 50cc 3D Hobby Shop Extra 300 SHP on my SD-10G, with the 10ch RX. Mostly IMAC basic stuff, a little hovering. The plane has a single receiver battery, a Fromeco 2300 mah A123. Servos are (5) Hitec HS-5955 titanium gear for the large control surfaces and (1) high speed digital HS-6965 on throttle.
Total battery consumption was only 147 mah for that flight. That works out to a bit less than 1 amp for an hour of flying, or 1 amp-hr. If all 5 surface servos were actually drawing 3 amps continuously, I would have used 15 amps over an hour, or 2500 milliamps during that 10 minute flight. I've not heard anyone using more than a few hundred milliamps per flight, even on 35%-40% planes (unless there was something wrong).
Though these powerful digital servos can absolutely pull a few amps each, under max load, ...the reality is that it is generally an instantaneous power demand, not continuous.

I finally saw a pic of the Sanwa and its lovely. Can anyone tell me if it has settings for biplanes, i.e. 4 aileron set up. I need to pick a new radio and this one truly makes sense. Its cheap!
