RE: kentucky dudes
Just a thought.... I really want to start running another class here at madisonville and it would be nice to run another class when I travel to race. I am holding out for a 1/10 scale electric 4x4 Stadium truck, really hoping Traxxas will come out with an electric slash, Jammin is coming out with a SCRT-10 soon, I will have to have one of these trucks..... Just a thought, a Slayer converted to electric would be ok but they are a bit pricey, surely all the manufacturers that have entered the 2wd stadium truck fray will also build a 4x4.......

RE: kentucky dudes
Hi Guys, I have posted a few times on here and you may have heard of our track in Madisonville, Ky I thought I would just put a little more info on here about our track and racinng format. We run Slashes on a blacktop parking lot, we also are currently allowing all stock Corr trucks (sc10, blitz, strike, slash) race also. Our track and racing is very unique for an off road format. We run blacktop but have jumps, bumps and whoops, all made from wood and other things. Its really great racing and we always have a huge turnout (20 or more trucks most of the time) The nice thing about running on the blacktop is that is is very consistent, no watering, no dust, I know most of us have grown up racing dirt and I like dirt racing also but this blacktop racing is very challenging and fun. Plus we almost never get rained out (only once this year and we race EVERY week) You can view some of our racing on YOUTUBE just search for madisonvillehobbies or go to our website for the forum and links to youtube races. We have a bunch of great guys that race there and they ALL have great attitudes, they come to race and compete, but mostly they come to have fun and that we dooooo. We also have kids racing and thats a big hit also, we have one 6 year old that is one of our better racers.....pretty cool. I know most of the tracks in the tristate run every other week so take a week and come see us at Madisonville Hobbies and Raceway 270-871-0025 madisonvillehobbies.com We will be moving indoors when it gets too cold to race outdoors (probably thanksgiving?/) Hope to see some of you guys soon..... Our next race will be this Saturday at NOON We also have a bunch of rock crawlers and will be offering weekly competition for them soon....

If you ever go and race with Mark and the gang at Madisonville once you will go back.I was very leery of the asphalt at first and though I would tear up a bunch of stuff but went because of the group of people there. I still go because of the people but also because it’s a lot of fun racing on the asphalt. We have a group in Mayfield that will make the drive every chance we get.
