The 9C, in PPM mode, is an 8 channel transmitter. If a 9 channel module and receiver is released it will only have 8 channels available if used in a 9C.

Yeah, you're right, Carrell. Several of my planes use up all 8 channels. And later on, all this equipment will work with the Aurora radio when the upgrade bug bites harder.

Will these modules be approved for use in Canada?

Will these modules work in a Futaba 9z?

How does the antenna mount fit a Futaba 9c when it's made for Hitec transmitters?

Yes, we have Canadian (IC) approval on all our 2.4Ghz.

The 9Z is unique I believe and uses a different size module, so it would not work with our system.

Hitec and Futaba antennas are similar sized and threaded. The antenna included with our module will screw right in a 9C.

So, the radios our system would work with are: Hitec Prism 7x (not origional 7), Eclipse 7, Optic 6, Futaba 9C and 8U.

Thanks, that's awesome.

The 9z can use the same modules as the 8U and 9c, only the 9z synth module is thicker and the socket is deeper with an extra, separate plug for frequency selection.

So it looks like it may work.

Will the 7Ch setup work in the 9C? I rarely use more than 7 channels and the price point on these is hard to beat compared to the Futaba RX's. I've been a Hitec fan for some time but Futaba was my primary gear. My 9C was supposed to be my last radio for a long time (and it has been) but with the price of this Hitec stuff, the proximity of support for it to my location (I live in Socal) and my general fondness for the products, Hobby People (SHACK!) and what not...

This is a no brainer.

Hello
Is the price going to stay the same for the module/rx combo or is this a limited time offer? If limited time when does this price end?
I am looking down the road for update to my radio, maybe a great Christmas present.
Thanks

Great!!!!! i didnt knew untill this thread that the hitec 2.4 module is compatible with the futaba 9c, almost bought that spektrum module....

Some questions tho Mike, if you please

- The Hitec spectra 2.4 Ghz module and Optima Rx's are fully compatible with a futaba 9 CAP Super Tx, solid Tx-Rx link, antenna suplied fits the 9c ??
- My plane has a Fiberglass fuse, so is it ok to just mount the Optima Rx inside this type of fuse??, I dunno if fiberglass causes interference on this system

I still cant believe 130buks for module and #2 7ch Rx's...insane!!!!!
sorry if some questions are repetead, its just that theese are such good news that I have to confirm by myself [&:]

thx!!!

Yes, it is fully compatible with the 9C... and to update and earlier post; we have now figured out the problem as to why it was not working with the origional Prism 7 (non "X.") We'll post the fix shortly.

Fiberglass typically has no impact on 2.4ghz, it's carbonfiber that it has issues with. If you want to be on the safe side you can always exit the tag end of the antenna outside the fuse.

Module/RX combos have been shipping in larger numbers now so they should be readily available in the next few days.

Aurora manual: http://www.hitecrcd.com/product_file...a_9_manual.pdf

No, this module will only work with Hitec and some Futaba radios like the 9C that use a similar size module.

Mike.

Mike will this module work in my Futaba 8UAF

It will plug directly into:

Hitec Prism 7/7X, Optic 6, Eclipse 7, Aurora 9
Futaba 7U,8U,9C,9Z or any version of... i.e. Super.

We've also modded it to work with the EVO 9/12 (Not 7) Thead posted in Groups.

Mike Mayberry

I hope this isn't a repeat of other questions in other forums I recently purchased the 9 Channel Aurora radio. I've been using your servos for years now . I fly giant scale and have quite a few HITEC digitals IO've been very satisfied with your products and your service department. Please send my regards for the great work they do. My questions are these

Will the 9 channel Optima receiver accept futaba J plug ??

If I purchase the PCM module would I be able to use my futaba PCM receivers ??

I like others were going to replace my 9-C futaba radio I purchased it in 2001. I was ready to purchase the new 10-C when I caught some info on your new radio.

One thing that has not been brought up is Futaba ships a 10 channel radio with a 600 MAH transmitter battery Most replace this as soon as they get it. Your company has the forethought of including a 2000 MAH NIMH battery with purchase > I respect that

All Hitec receivers will accept any brand sevo connectors.

PCM is proprietary, so no... the Aurora will only be able to operate Hitec QPCM and ALL brands FM RX's with use of the Spectra Pro 72Mhz module.

After talking with Hitec yesterday, it now looks like late November for the Aurora with the 9 ch receiver. I guess if i have waited since Joe Nall, what the heck will another 6 months matter.

No problems using modules in a 9C set on PPM (PCM is proprietary to each individual brand on other frequencies).
Present resolution is 1024 (few users would be able to truthfully distinguish between that at 2048.)

As per previous posts, both the Aurora 9ch and the 2.4GHz Spectra & RX combo were available in New Zealand (and other small countries) before they were available in USA.
As of this morning, at least one LHSstill had minimal stock available of the both the Aurora TX&RXonly package and the Spectra 2.4 Module/Optima (single RX) combo .
