Krazyc, I got a UCANDO3D and intend to put the RCS 140 on it but I had bad luck with the engine. I sent it in for repairs. I just could not get it to run good. I'll start on the ucan soon. I plan on beefing up the fire wall. Supertiger has on flying and said it is really great. I chose the UCAN because it might come in under 10 lbs and I want a 3D plane to at least sort of 3 D. I'll let you know what RCS does about my sic engine. They seemed really nice and wanted to help me. We'll see.

Default RCS 140 - What Planes are you flying with this engine?

I was just getting the first RCS 140 running (the SE version) - had a half gallon of 40:1 non synthetic through it, and it was turning an APC 17x6 9250 static with great idle and transition with a Bennett muffler (exhaust diverter?)

Put it on an already built H9 US 120 I purchased from another club member, and on the 5th flight, all 6 of the elevator hinges pulled out while I was at about 300 feet coming out of an immelman. My fault for not checking to see if they were pinned.

The tail feathers and about 8" of the fuse in front of them was all that was left of the plane - dug the engine out of the ground, and dug all the wood out of the fins to look it over. Broke the spark plug literally out of the head, the arm shafts off the carb, and crushed the ignition unit. It hit so hard it stripped the gears on all the servos, including the Hitech 645 metal gears.

So, called RCS, and they don't have the head or ignition unit - all on back order. At least I have the RCS 140 RE and tuned pipe left to play with - but my Fun World 3d is still not built. I've been playing with my new (to me) metal lathe and mini-mill making mufflers/pipes and mounts for my FPE, Brison and Fox 2.4s, but its time to get busy on the FW3d and get the RCS 140RE and tuned pipe up and running. Still waiting on the receipt of my CF landing gear for it.

Also purchased a built ACE Big Bingo and ACE 4* 120 Bipe yesterday. The bipe has the same GP mount I use for the RCS 140 engines, humm.....

This engine is hard to find. I bet it would be wonderful in a 60-sized warbird, indeed.

I have a tuned pipe on the rear exhaust version of the RCS 140, and it turns 9000 static on an APC 18-6 after 2 gallons of fuel through it.
